All these companies are getting crazy with their prices. Especially the ones that ate clearly not going to many sales at such prices... and don't learn and keep raising the prices.
          It's insanity

LG branding doesn't command those prices anymore. You could label the same phone as an HTC and sell more of it.

I think LG need to replace their whole team.

Look at Samsung, their J series is beaten badly by Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo. But Samsung manage to turn around with the M series.

Well.... LG.... Keep trying the same failed strategy over and over......

i like mine G7, but i have bought 2 of them for 750€....if LG continue to follow Samsung in their price increasing, they won't be getting better sales.

The last Oracle, 11 Feb 2019LG needs to fix a lot of things before it can command any kind of high end premium smartphone ... moreArguably worse...

The G5's last update was Oreo in late Summer. No updates since then.
The S7's last update was the January 2018 patch. Oreo was released on April (until June for some areas). And it had monthly updates in between.

So it's not "arguably". It's "actually"

I would suggest LG buy out Meizu. That company innovates way more than LG ever can. They should maintain quality and prices, and LG could have a winner.

How many times you've heard someone dropped their Samsung and the screen didn't crack? Now compare that to LG...G series can take some serious abuse before anything breaks and that's why i stick to them!

LG needs to fix a lot of things before it can command any kind of high end premium smartphone pricing.

It's photo and video quality haven't improved enough in the last 5 years despite the excellent wide angle and superb interface for Log Video. They aren't really in the top 10 (or even top 20).
It's updates are arguably worse than Samsung.
It's design isn't among the best.
                                      After sales is disappointing.
Quality control on the screen and other hardware is far from excellent.
It's audio DAC is its biggest USP.
It needs to start working with Sony to start designing smartphone sensors.
It needs to increase its battery capacity substantially.
It needs to work on designing a smartphone SoC. It needs to engage with TSMC, as well as poach chip designers from Samsung, Apple and Huawei. It needs to break away from Snapdragon.
It needs to start pricing itself like Xiaomi or the mid rangers. It cannot command the super premium prices it does. Nobody wants to pay they for LG.

LG has a great history. It can Easily reverse it's bad fortune. But it needs to make a very drastic effort to do so.
