Whackcar, 11 Feb 2019LG doesn't seem to realize that their brand value isn't what it used to be. They're making dec... moreThis comment heavily applies to Sony too, both companies need to stop being arrogant and cocky with their prices.
Anonymous, 11 Feb 2019LG phonies are vastly underrated. The G7 costs €380 in Germany, which is way cheaper than the... moreMaybe because OnePlus phones run buttery smooth stock Android, are updated faster and are generally cheaper than LG and Samsung at launch.
All these companies are getting crazy with their prices. Especially the ones that ate clearly not going to many sales at such prices... and don't learn and keep raising the prices.
LG branding doesn't command those prices anymore. You could label the same phone as an HTC and sell more of it.
I think LG need to replace their whole team.
Look at Samsung, their J series is beaten badly by Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo. But Samsung manage to turn around with the M series.
Well.... LG.... Keep trying the same failed strategy over and over......
good. G7 prices will drop:) people are really st.upid buying new phone every few months and buying flagships.
I bought essential phone 6 months ago with SD 835 for... 150 USD !! perfect phone in every way for silly price.
i like mine G7, but i have bought 2 of them for 750€....if LG continue to follow Samsung in their price increasing, they won't be getting better sales.
Palirudin, 11 Feb 2019Lol Lg will never sell it product with the cheap prices unlike the desperate company out there... moreHaters have already got used it Sir and they never care about it anymore ... just like LG has got used to "Loss business" for last 4 years with their stupid phones .... lmao ... !!!
LOL ... and after 2 months of launch ... "LG G8 price slashed by $400" .... lol .. story of LG phones for last 5 years !!!
.alpha, 11 Feb 2019Make the screen 6.8" at least, battery 4200mAh+, stereo speakers, 1/2" camera sensor and then maybeWell said
The last Oracle, 11 Feb 2019LG needs to fix a lot of things before it can command any kind of high end premium smartphone ... moreArguably worse...
The G5's last update was Oreo in late Summer. No updates since then.
The S7's last update was the January 2018 patch. Oreo was released on April (until June for some areas). And it had monthly updates in between.
So it's not "arguably". It's "actually"
Lol Lg will never sell it product with the cheap prices unlike the desperate company out there to sell their phone with cheap price tag.
So to haters pls get used to it.
I would suggest LG buy out Meizu. That company innovates way more than LG ever can. They should maintain quality and prices, and LG could have a winner.
DOA pricing; weak sales and dependence on contract discounts will continue.
Lol haters will never stop spreading bootloop issue.... Almost famous from the true issue of the devices itself
Hello apple and samsung also bootloop aka stucked on logo!
How many times you've heard someone dropped their Samsung and the screen didn't crack? Now compare that to LG...G series can take some serious abuse before anything breaks and that's why i stick to them!
LG needs to fix a lot of things before it can command any kind of high end premium smartphone pricing.
It's photo and video quality haven't improved enough in the last 5 years despite the excellent wide angle and superb interface for Log Video. They aren't really in the top 10 (or even top 20).
It's updates are arguably worse than Samsung.
It's design isn't among the best.
After sales is disappointing.
Quality control on the screen and other hardware is far from excellent.
It's audio DAC is its biggest USP.
It needs to start working with Sony to start designing smartphone sensors.
It needs to increase its battery capacity substantially.
It needs to work on designing a smartphone SoC. It needs to engage with TSMC, as well as poach chip designers from Samsung, Apple and Huawei. It needs to break away from Snapdragon.
It needs to start pricing itself like Xiaomi or the mid rangers. It cannot command the super premium prices it does. Nobody wants to pay they for LG.
LG has a great history. It can Easily reverse it's bad fortune. But it needs to make a very drastic effort to do so.
