Manually updated to 4.0.3 and all fairly good so far. Been running with wifi, 3g, auto sync and push mail on for over 55 hours so far with moderate usage. Benchmarks are a bit lower than if running gingerbread but that is the only issue so far.
Hadi, 31 Dec 2011In some regions, 4.0.3 causes WiFi to stop working once you insert sim card!Yes. Now I can't use wifi. Plz help...
Hi guys. the official press release/ statement says that the update is only available in some regions... Could any body tell me if the update to ICS is available for India users... Thanks in anticipation... :)

I did a manual update and noticed the battery life is a little poorer, but not as bad as many are saying. Wifi has improved massively, connecting straight away (used to wait for about 30-60 seconds) seems much more stable. Seems to leave apps running in the background more which causes the battery to drain, but using taskiller does the trick, and i'm still getting a day or so out of it.
i just manual update my nexus s work great happy with it no problem so far, had my phone plug in and update software no problem everything works only google plus with issue,am happy with this great
I did a manual upgrade or update on my Nexus S to the ICS; but since I got it done I am not able to connect to any wireless network. Everything else seems to be working fantastic and it shows I got the ICS update but no wireless connecting. Any idea why this might be happening and how to correct it.
How come it still says my phone up to date, but my brother got the ota update for his nexus s
Manually upgraded my Australian SLCD Nexus S with the zip file on ZDNET and have no issues at all, everything works and seems better including battery life. I performed a factory reset prior to running the isntall so not sure if this contributed to having no problems at all.

pat, 21 Dec 2011Hi, does Nexus S with ICS have smart dialing feature? Or do we still need to find it on market? There is still no smart dialling as far as I can tell. I've been getting used to search anyway, so I don't really miss it :)
I did the upgrade too to ICS on my nexus S. I did not notice any major issues with the battery. Overall really nicer & neater OS.
