Samsung is one of the main players in the creation of HDR10 & HDR10+ display panels, not Qualcomm.
Anonymous, 03 Mar 2019I didn't know HDR+ is co-developed by Samsung, that's cool.*HDR10+
Anonymous, 03 Mar 2019I mean HDR on phone sis really pointless. I can get that you want this effect on giant screens... more30fps to 60fps is what everyone need. But its only on expensive Xperia series.

Note7 owner, 03 Mar 2019What's there to watch on Amazon prime video? Besides The Grand Tour? The Grand Tour is the best show on Amazon Prime.
I mean HDR on phone sis really pointless. I can get that you want this effect on giant screens because it can offer unparalleled immersion when watching moves. However a 6 inch screen can't and won't bring any immersion HDR or not.
Now if Samsung were to push 5k mobile screens + VR movie watching , it would had completely changed the industry. It would of been more immersive than even $10k TVs, basically kill that industry for a lot of people. Yet they don't because they want to keep selling TVs... So what is the point HDR on a small screen that is too low res to be used for VR movies (you'd need 5k for that)? Another pointless gimmick, half hearted and half made... I hate those
