This is utter nonsense, Samsung is going along the same way as MIcrosoft, you want a new product then buy it... all the users should get the option of upgrading to ICS it they wish to.. if the Guys at XDA can make it work so does Samsung... Samsung need to remember its we the users who have their brands work and its time to show some gratitude towards us...

One thing worse than Samsung's behaviour is their excuse on their own inadequate hardware on a flagship product which is the same as ICS running Nexus S and their own resource hog TouchWiz which nobody wants or asked for!

I think that is it for Samsung. They will soon be relegated from consumer product vendor to component supplier of Apple, Sony!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S, and I won't bother waiting for a "value packed update" or even ICS... I've already had enough problems with this phone. So the only thing I'm waiting for is an entirely new phone, and not any of the new Samsungs either.. Their Battery Talk times are so terrible that they should have designed the phone with a permenantly attached power cord because it will be charging all the time anyway.

Don't know what all this will finally end up into, but just got an OTA for my Galaxy Tab 10.1 which upgrades it from 3.1 to 3.2, here in India :-)

        EDIT:
Its the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (3G version)

Samsung says their products are better than apple... One thing I don't understand is how samsung can make such false claims.... Apple updates the software of even their outdated products like the iPhone 3G...... But Samsung on the other hand tries to cover its incompetence by blaming the hardware they themselves created.... Ask any galaxy s user about the crap Samsung loads in their phones in the name of touch wiz....no one needs that.. All we need s ice cream sandwich... And we r being given this crappy value pack... ... When icecrean sandwich runs flawlessely on nexus s how come galaxy's hardware becomes incompetent of running ics.... Software team of Samsung must give up their jobs and let xda members be in charge... They have ported ics brilliantly on galaxy s....
One more thing.... U certainly are doing a great job building up ur fan database....
A few more of such policies .... And within a few years Samsung will certainly dissapear

Please don't ive damn to these rumours defintely Samsung will give upgrade. But its up to the user to decie GB or ICS. GB is the most stable version until now from Google. But yes definetly there will be choice for the users.

Samsung never disappointed anyone and will.

                      Cheers
