And boy is it smooth. It's the best OS available in the market and I was given it after 2 years of my original purchase of the 3GS. Apple takes care of it's customer. Many others do as well. But some don't.
Sad for Samsung customers but they deserve it after buying Samsung products.

Really? Is that what you think? ICS isn't like windows 95 compared with windows 7 or anything. It's a bit better. Looks very similar to me. And a phone like the sgs1 can do it no problems.

On the other hand I do not agree with Samsung's decision, the customer service may not be the best one, but hey.. I updated my phone to 2.3.5 from xda cuz Kies was constantly giving errors, but I dont give a crap about voiding my warranty . lol.
SGS Users go and head over to XDA and get stock ics.

What about th... moreThe main difference between s.e and Samsung is huge, because both didn't do well in updating their phones in the past, however, s.e did a remarkable job that no other company did which is updating all their 2011android phones including the low end.
On the other hand, Samsung released around 10 android phones this year and only is upgrading 2 of them to ICS! Wtf man, what kind of support is this.
I like both Samsung And s.e but I must admit SE are doing so much better lately, I'm so glad I went with the Xperia play instead of the GS2 which will be out of the game by early next year.

Don't you get it? You can't stay in the past, and Samsung is counting on that. Buy a new phone, simple and direct. And make Samsung happy. And you a little poorer.

Samsung is a seller after all and wants to sell... moreand i really like how u judge the thing when haven see a prototype for it .
and for those people who saying SGS will laggy after update to ICS just by "imperfect version" of port ICS . Its better you do some research before press the send button .

Go to XDA and get ICS today, works great in I9000 voice search and everything else. There are still a few minor bugs in the two major versions available but nothing serious. Works perfectly as a daily rom.

This can be also implied as Touchwiz is a resource-hog.
Who needs TouchWiz anyway?
I will be waiting for onecosmic or CM9 ICS ROMs...
