Walter C. Dornez, 06 Mar 2019Nah, those cameras are great, but this one reminds me of the Lumia 1020 images, which I really likedThose cameras are good(with going easy on them)!
1020? it was a master peace! i fear such thing never ever gonna happen again!(whit stupid phones have to be thinner)
Anonymous, 05 Mar 2019So basically each lens is just a different focus on the picture and with software you can blur... moreNo.. Each camera records a different exposure values.. So it can produce the perfect HDR.. The depth map is produced by the ToF sensor.. Google Pixel takes good HDR but using 1 camera to snap multiple pictures and stacked together.. This won't work if the subject/scene is moving.. Using mulitple cameras like Nokia 9 overcomes the single camera HDR limitation

Walter C. Dornez, 05 Mar 2019I'm not gonna lie, I really like how images look from this phoneDon't make mistake you can lie so apple and samsung and huawei fans can be happy about their moderate cameras! :)
I could highlight the disadvantages of using an older (but not yet dated) SoC but I don't feel like it.

It provides 1200 depths mapping while others are only at mostly 10.
It provides rich dynamic range
It provides rich detail
six_tymes, 05 Mar 2019it looks impressive, no doubt. but if its not using an 855 snapdragon then its not so impressi... moreFor starters, they had to, because the camera is practically baked with the 845 and they've had to work closely with QC to get it working and 855, still wasn't ready, so if they were to use 855, we still wouldnt see this phone till later in the year.
secondly, unless you put the 845 and 855 next to each other with heavy testing, that's when you will notice the small performance improvement. The main benefit the Nokia 9 could use from 855, was the improved processing that makes camera processing faster. The graphic chip boost is only really useful for games etc so not for everyone, 5G is great as it saves battery and obviously better data speeds, but most networks arent ready yet and most people dont know of 5G yet.
So, 845 isn't actually a bad thing at all, because it allowed Nokia to price the phone more competitively which is a much better benefit for most people these days.
lewein, 05 Mar 2019i'm not gonna lie also, this phone is clearly not intended to the masses... you need to post w... moreYes and no.
There is automatic mode in this camera so you get nice pictures with it, but is you Are pro photo Person, the raw picture with all that information from 5 separate lens gives you a lot of thing that allow you to make the picture look even better!
So Yep, it is for pro photo persons to make really avesome pictures, but normal user should get some benefits from this camara arrangemet Also.
Most people don't consider that mobile SoCs have matured nicely, and generational improvement will not bother majority of users. Just as current Intel i5 will not provide noticeable speed increase over previous i5 for most users.
855 SoC would be nice, but with explanation about development of custom hardware and its integration with SoC, staying with 845 makes sense. Using a phone with 845 already, faster SoC is very low on my list of wanted improvements. If camera proves to be as promised, this is very likely my next phone.
I really want to see the samples as well. It woupd be great to also have a few dng files to play with. Ideally, the awesome camera comparison tool could also show the jpegs out of dngs. THAT would be sweet and really the only thing to show the true quality of the hardware. Many people use third party aps to take pictures, and in that case, you want to see what just the hardware is capable of, because simple stuff like sharpness, contrast, saturation, but sometimes even noise reduction algos can be set up in the third party app...

Eagerly awaiting an in-depth review from GSMArena including camera samples !!
six_tymes, 05 Mar 2019it looks impressive, no doubt. but if its not using an 855 snapdragon then its not so impressi... moreI think the only reason this phone is using the 845 is because it's been in development for so long, this is also why the RED Hydrogen came with an 835 at launch instead of an 845. I'd assume ordering lots of SD 855's when you already ordered lots of SD 845's to be used in your phone is pretty expensive.
Anonymous, 05 Mar 2019That's why this flagship cost $600 and not $1000Flagship killers cost 600$(or even less)

Just check hashtag #nokia9pureview and you will find tons of picture comparison with samsung s10 plus and see the difference on color quality and more details

Ohh i still live in 2019 march it takes around 9 months to end this year.
