Manhurt, 10 Mar 2019IDK, but maybe the chasis will injured. The screen made by plastic so its will be more shatterproofShatterproof reminds me of Motorola Z/Z2 Force, that should be alright.

Anonymous, 11 Mar 2019It may be more durable, but its not more premiumYes it is, most of samsung flagship phones have that quality feeling in ur hands, you can feel that you are holding a machine in ur hands there's not enough words to express the feeling, am sorry i got carried away lol, bro its ur decision either you like huawei or any other Chinese phones that's ur choice, i won't force nobody to change, since I've been using samsung i have never regretted it, their devices worth the price am talking about their flagship phones.

Samsung fold is just so bland, basic. The folded form is just useless with a screen that small it looks a quick glance screen of old flip phones. The design is more protective of the main screen but I've got no desire for the design.
I rather go for the Mate x, put a screen protector on and take my chances with scratches. The design is just so much more seamless, thin, ingeniously usable in both folded to unfolded form. I can see why it's priced higher. It's a more ingenuitive design. Plain and simple.

normal scratch at level 6 with deeper groves at level 7
I will rather buy beautiful asus rog zephyrus with 8th intel and 2070 or 2080 rtx nvidia for 2 grands rather than this crap fold ...
Samsungs fold doesnt fold properly, it leaves a bump on one side and is uneven
The Huawei Mate X is leagues ahead. Looks way newer and more futuristic
Huawei's is best but should be used with a screen protector and while at it - put the hump on top instead - it makes the overall footprint a little smaller.

How are you supposed to lay the Huawei version flat on a surface when folded out with the hump on the back & won't finger print pressure put pressure on the spine in the wrong direction? This format is completely flawed.
vrvly, 10 Mar 2019Not everyone holds the Cat phone and though phones are more fragile than before, some brands e... moreLots of words not explaining your non-argument that an exposed, flexible, ultra-thin plastic surface is somehow going to withstand the gruelling wear and tear a pocketed smartphone has to deal with. Remember when all phones were plastic? They used thick, hard plastic as they knew it scratches and breaks. They can't do that with a display. Especially not OLED, that stops working if an area breaks.
Samsung's design is made to last. Huawei's design is not made to be sold. It's pure vapourware. It can not be sold as it will break fast.
I think nobody (users) are taking care about this because apple is not inside this business yet, always happens in that way
No matter how much people stress on innovation... Foldable smartphones are completely unnecessary... Foldable displays are okay for various usages, but smartphones, nah forever will be a gimmick
Fold in or fold out, we will know from the experience of users. One thing for sure, Huawei is ahead of Samsung lately when it comes to innovation and design phones.
