i stop beliving on gorilla display after my lg 2x fall on the floor for the 1 time, all the display glass broke and it was less than 1 meter. I spend 90€ for a new front so gorillz is only scratch resistant.

Previously Corning announced the new upcoming "lotus Glass". So the Gorilla2 glass is just a name change or is it a different glass?

I love GG, on my GS2, i think I have 1 mark but I know why that is an I wouldn't have expected it to withstand it without being marked but I have had it in with keys, scratched and banged it whilst in my pocket against door frames, cookers, couches and even a kitchen worktop edge. Its really good, never had a phone that could endure so much and only have the smallest mark ever which I would expected to have happened for dropping it.

just to share my experience, my first and only smart phone has gorilla glass.. with a year and half of use without any form of protection, I am yet to have a scratch on it. I don't know if its mainly the so called gorilla glass but I sure do want my next phone to be just as tough. in fact, I am planning on buying the Nexus S but I am not sure if the glass is as durable, so I am still hesitating.

And I'm saying this in a legit manner because I have been using this for a year already. :)

Guys, Gorilla glass in scratch resistant, not scratch proof. I scratched my cell phone's screen last summer in a sandy beach. The screen is not resistant against sand because it has some "glass" like particles similar to the diamond's. And that is just one example.
                                    Have a screen protector on!

If you drop it one time by accident while taking it out of your pocket it might brake right away. When you take the phone around -25 celcius an take it in it might brake even in that case. There have been cases like that and Apple refused to pay the customers about the glass breaking in low temperatures. They said that you can keep the phone in a temperature like that but you can't use it while the temperture is low.
