Got2bereal, 06 Jan 2012The only people who thinks the iPhones are inferior are people who judge books by it's cover.
... moreAnd some people just talk to hear themselves talk. Also just to start fueds....or both. First of all that is backwards. All Iphone users who think the Iphone is superior are judging books by their cover. We know the Iphone is inferior because we have seen it, used it, watched it and so on and blah. It's good. It's just not the best and Apple could easily do so much more. The only thing 4s has is a slightly more powerful gpu because they purposely waited like half a year late to bring it out so in their mind they would try to trump the GS2....which they still didnt.
The Nexus. Nobody said it was the best. Thought it pretty much has the best display and is a very featured phone. It's battery life considering the tech is not bad. As far as call time it still made a good score. Also once the browser displays dark colors and a couple ics updatez come it will greatly improve. Also the brand new HD screens are power hungry and it scored higher than the others... And at least the nexus has reason to be power hungry unlike the 4s. 4.65 inch HD display and white web pages on Super Amoled. 4s a tiny 3.5inch screen thats lcd... Thats over an inch smaller and they have a lithium polymer batter that shouldve and couldve been bigger but wasnt. though its only 300mah smaller. Supposedly its just ios bugs for the 4s and for all of your sakes I hope that's true and it gets fixed.
As far as call time the best mobile like the GS2 or the Note scored the highest. Thats with the screen off so you know which means just running on system and battery. If the 4s had a comparable screen size and resolution it probably wouldve done worse.
Big screens. Not everyone likes them..but most do. Majority of people who dont are iphone users because the iphone has a small screen. LTE..Duh! Its still new! Its still growing!
Ghz may not be everything...but they sure as hell mean a lot.. Duh! Nothing is everything. When will Iphone users learn they cant say that every feature an iphone doesnt have is useless?
carloud, 07 Jan 2012most likely quad cores will be used for games...and since IOS' advantage over android is on ga... moreActually Vita blows iPhone 4S into water because Vita uses same architecture as A5 Chip .
difference is iPhone uses dual core and Vita uses quad core version of same chip.
It depends on developers , honestly i think infinity blade 1 or 2 graphics are more than enough for handheld gaming.
90% of developers still target iPhone 3GS users to make apps. i.e 256 MB RAM thats why even ipod touch remained in 256 MB RAM and A4-like-chip (even 3rd gen chip is same fast as A4 chip little bit lower textures) for 3rd year in a row.
If developers come forward to make more games then yes vita needs serious thinking.
I think Vita moves faster because Vita is meant for games only and iPod touch is lagging behind 2 years (A4 chip = iPad 1 chip).
So many developers come forward to make vita games and also it has better GPU.
One reason i like apple is that they differentiate themselves and be unique.
I am not saying about copying or replicating. Just a fact.
They make old things/old technology but present them in a new way which is "usable" for example they made iPad and tablet concept is not new but they made a perfect tablet which works pretty well as advertised.
Not like apple is the most advanced tech company or something.
I saw steve interviews saying "We want to make the best products".
I want apple to go in that way instead of showing paper specs which always fail in real world.
I hate new apple little bit because of patents and sue
and i honestly love android too but android is the poorest support i have ever seen.not only in updates but in service too. Apple service is nice (only if under warranty) or else rip money but they provide support instead of ignore though.
meh, 07 Jan 2012man enough of the battles. im just gona use iphone 5 as an ipod and galaxy s3 as a phone. so t... moreTotally agree with you... seems the only way to keep the trolls happy these days is to love both !
most likely quad cores will be used for games...and since IOS' advantage over android is on games.....I imagine it will directly compete against the handheld consoles such as ps Vita and 3ds
(although the iphone4s already does indeed can do psvita graphics hohoho)
Anonymous, 07 Jan 2012Quadcore on iOS will run as fast as an Octacore on Android. This will be nice since apps on iO... moreNo, I think it may run better because the iOS interface is just simple and can probably run solely on a device released in 2007, of course the apps aren't don't correspond to this and will be more power hungry. Identical Android and iOS apps are obviously designed by the company but the reason iOS apps seemed to run smoother is simply because of maturity.
"It's just a waste of time...What in the world would you need that much processing power for?? For example..Even though I have the Galaxy S 2, my Galaxy S still runs silky smooth"
Galaxy S is smooth? What a joke. It's one of the laggiest phone out there. I guess you have used an iPhone 4S.
For now this 4 cores is for iPad 3 retina resolution, everyone who has played games with pc knows how much difference it makes if you lower resolution, games run much better. iPad retina resolution needs a lot horse power to run everything smoothly what iPad 2 does.
Quadcore on iOS will run as fast as an Octacore on Android. This will be nice since apps on iOS are more likely to utilize the quadcore than apps on Android.
man enough of the battles. im just gona use iphone 5 as an ipod and galaxy s3 as a phone. so the world cannot hate me now
What are they going to do with 4 cores ?
Maybe they are going for flash after all :p
i dont think so . as longest they making money is not going to happen
Anonymous, 06 Jan 2012Quad Core will actually save battery and not the other way round. Now you are taking for granted that quad core devices will continue running todays apps and that developers will not make heavier more complex games and apps for QC devices.
well, seems like samsung is planning their own quadcore
the much anticipated device will debut at Mobile World Congress in February and feature a quad-core Exynos chipset. Additionally, the Galaxy S III will sport a Super AMOLED Plus 720p display, LTE connectivity, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz. It has also been rumored that Samsung’s flagship device will feature 3D technology that will integrate the device with 3D television sets. Mobile World Congress is scheduled for February 27 through March 1, 2012 in Barcelona, Spain.
adytu, 06 Jan 2012Oh yeah! quad core. The battery standby time will be 24 hours max. The haven't even fixed the ... moreActually quad cores will help battery life.
Running slower on four cores vs faster on two (for the same workload) is far more energy efficient. So battery life should improve. Running faster on two cores vs slower on four also produces more heat in the chip which increase current and again adds to faster battery drain. That is why you do not see 2GHz Cortex A9, rather 2x1GHz.
The key of course is to turn down the performance when not needed.
If the iPhone 4S which Android fanboys cried so much as a 'disappointment' could achieve phenomenal sales breaking previous records, it's quite safe to say the iPhone 5 with new body will just have incredible sales.
It has already even been voted as most anticipate gadget of 2012 in a survey. Give it a rest haters, no one's listening to you guys. Those who like Android will buy Android, those who like Apple will buy Apple.
Jose, 06 Jan 2012Agree!No. Apple will just run to the nearest court room claiming they invented Quad Core chips.
apple need to upgrade in next gen quad core to compete with other company carrying moving android..! seat back people..! reserv ur money, new gen for us will come..!!!
