AnonD-24476, 09 Jan 2012Nokia didn kill meego but meego couldn survive the competetion. And to develope & support ... moreI don't think the same as you! Windows phone is ugly and weak! The only good thing about it is that it don't have viruses(yet!).

how can nokia after this long history of mobile domination be blessed with stupid leaderships like the ones they have now! i tried meego and it was wonderful, the UI was excellent but what i liked most was the true multitasking: they claim that android or Ios have true multitasking, but ib real life neither of them do! i use android and when u leave an app to another one or to desktop it closes automatically after 10 secs! it's really annoying when u r doing some work and not just "playing" with your device! meego had it all but elop wanted to kill it to promote WP which is not doing so good any way! and now i read that they want to sell nokia's smartphone department to microsoft! well done elop, this is how u turn a world leader into ashes!

Honestly, I want to see a Tizen Samsung! It's sad that Meego is dead, but I think that Tizen could replace Bada and be a success. What do you think guys? :)

Nokia didn kill meego but meego couldn survive the competetion. And to develope & support meego u need to develope a parellel supporting echo-system which requires millions of dollars. so why would nokia take risk for an OS which doesn know its fate?? Reason for Nokia's decision to stop supporting symbian after 2016 is also same. Symbian is demanding more financial resources, develpers are moving away from symbian & nokia is trying its best to stop it but whats the use? Symbian platform is not giving revenue for Nokia..
Today i tried Nokia 800, its simply a superb phone, i was told by someone that one cannot set wallpapers in windows but its all rubbish, we can set wallpapers of our choice & tiles are just the menus which can be customised. Windows has security, rich graphics.

Anonymous, 09 Jan 2012android killerUI looks pretty rough, graphically speaking.
Hope they're porting swipe navigation, either MeeGo-style for switching apps, or WP7-style, for panning in an application canvas.
