We're now exactly one month down the line and I am still waiting for this update. Any ideas as to why this is taking so long?

I've heard it's been cancelled to global OTA currently as it contained too many bugs, decreasing speed and heat up issues. They are currently trying to resolved it. Those who don't have the update yet have to wait for may OTA together with april security patch.
Man for a phone with just price tag of 250 this phone is like when einstein edison and tesla make together one artifical child.
This phone is trully the genius for its price and specs now.
jhay, 05 Apr 2019they forgot their flagship - I'll scrap my Mi 8 and will be switching to oneplus. Yes I Feels the Same. They Are Not Giving Importance For the MI 8 Updates
update-- no heating and battery drain issues. i played games including pubg continuously for 3 hours and i am feeling the same heat buildup as before, and no throttling, which would have indicated any cooling issue. i still was able to get the same screen on time as before. earlier i said that the screen on time was being reported wrong by the phone, wherein i already have used the phone with the screen on for 1.5 hours but the phone is reporting it only as some 30 minutes. i restarted the phone and it showed correct data from then on. yesterday i was able to get 6.3 hours of screen on time and still has 51% battery, which roughly translates to up to 10 hours of screen on time from a full charge. i could have gotten one more day of usage with that remaining battery, but i have to use the phone early today and we also are planning to have a roadtrip in the afternoon. will update some more. as you probably can tell, i really am a big fan of pocophone f1. i have had my share of flagship phones and even now, along with this phone, i also have the razer phone 1 and 2. there is nothing in the market right now that can match the value propositon of the pocophone f1.
I know this update has only just been released, but has it had any effect on the battery drain issue caused by the previous firmware update of 10.2.3? I've held back from that update in the hope that this one would fix the alleged problem?
ProJames-CHM, 05 Apr 2019They could still try. They only have to interpolate 2x instead of 4x for that Slow Mo incident... moreYeah, especially because the cameras aren't too bad, at least for the price
