Anonymous, 10 Apr 2019All brands become greedy when they get closer to the top. Look what is happening with Huawei. ... moreExactly. Top brands they all the time put massive prices this is how they reap benefits of being the most popular. Even if Huawei will become top brand, people will start to hate them too, cause they going to charge more as much as Samsung or more, their phones already matching Samsung prices especially in developed countries, there is no real winner here for consumer. You win when you het top specs for cheap price, whi cares who is on top
Anonymous, 16 Apr 2019So by your logic Samsung who have the superior displays, similar battery life, headphone jack,... moreFirst, they DO charge more. As i said, i got brand new P30 Pro for 720 euros. 128gb Galaxy S10+ costs 999 euros here.
Second, superior displays? Only in resolution as P30 Pro uses Samsung amoled. By YOUR logic Sony Xperia 1 display is vastly superior compared to Samsung flagships. (And it is, btw. Samsung doesn't have all the screen tech Sony puts into its flagships)
Pro has card slot, so? (Even if it didn't i wouldn't care ase 128gb is more than enough for me.) Pen? Only Mates have it and it's so niche. Similar battery life? You MUST be kidding. Dunno about wireless charging because i don't use it. But conventional charging is faster on P30Pro. Better UI? Highly subjective. If you like bloated laggy UI-s, then yeah, it's better for you. So there's only 1 thing. Headphone jack. I won't pay 279 euros extra to have headphone jack and lose everywhere else (except screen resolution). And I won't even start comparing cameras.
SpiritWolf, 10 Apr 2019Well. Older models didn't have oled panels, periscope zoom, exceptional battery life and build... moreSo by your logic Samsung who have the superior displays, similar battery life, headphone jack, SD card slot, S-pen, superior wireless charging, better UI should be charging even more than Huawei.
Just missing the periscope camera really.
you have to hide the serial code of smartphone to strengthen the vete because mobile tracing in the arabic pay has an influence on the consumer and the reseller that sell nothing in tunisia has violence police when you buy a stolen phone and do not trust the stolen phone or not
Only thanks to the fact that the US market being rigged...
jrharbort, 12 Apr 2019In this case, I'm speaking for the North America market.I bet if Huawei didn´t have closed door to North American market, you´d be seeing them much more than Sammy.
Stefy the First, 11 Apr 2019It doesn't matter who is in the lead as long as they do a good job.
And after my S9 plus bat... moreSame here, was sammy heavy user but battery not last long and replace a mainboard after 13months for a backup phone i just used at home.
I try iph but battery still weak. Sony works fine
Luxor, 11 Apr 2019You think chinese oems have any innovation left in them? That is the real delusion. Look at ev... moreWhere did I state Chinese OEMs innovate? ;) They don't, they just do things just because and see what sticks. Samsung used to innovate, now they don't, all they do now is just copy fads set by the Chinese. All equally worthless in the broad scheme of things for actual utility.
Really Xiaomi number 1 lol. HUAWEI will be number 1. As they no2 in the world. And only getting started. The only thing that is stopping them is president chump and the rest of the world with there spying paranoia BS period.
Anonymous, 11 Apr 2019Huawei will take the number one spot in two years. It's inevitable. The US knows this and th... morei don't think so. maybe xiaomi is the best china phone brand that fits on number one. xiaomi is more innovative than a honor/huawei copy of samsung. look very close you can see samsung and huawei/honor are almost the same and with same path of what they want. look at xiaomi they look on a better part. who is the first implemented the vibration for produce sound xiaomi right?and who implemented bezel-less phones?also xiaomi. and if we could see on camera module they are super very close to what other brands can give with a standard camera module only without a leica on it or other.
It doesn't matter who is in the lead as long as they do a good job.
And after my S9 plus battery and updates fiasco I am kind of disappointed in Sammy.
After I tried and failed big time with an Android One Nokia 7 Plus (USB port problems), I did what I never would see myself capable of doing: after tens of smartphones purchased in the last 10 years, I bought myself an iPhone 8 Plus (used one, but in very good condition).
The end is near..

Online named nobody who is claiming just because he/she thinks it, Samsung/Huawei are not the top 2 OEM's
Kangal, 11 Apr 2019The only constant in that lineup is that Samsung has always been second. I don't see Samsung ... moreGoogle's special sauce...their camera computational prowess. Everyone can port them to any phone. Hahahaha.
MHanz, 10 Apr 2019LOL the delusion is strong. Revenue falling and overpricing to compensate is just not going to... moreYou think chinese oems have any innovation left in them? That is the real delusion. Look at every Huawei/Honor phone that recently came out all of them using the same teardrop notch design and the same Kirin710. All Xiaomi phone is pretty much using the same design too but different camera and chipset. All gradient color back panel. Nothing much to shout about in term of software. Oppo and Vivo innovation? Just a bunch of overpriced premium looking phone but cheap innards. The real big player nowadays is underrated.

Anonymous, 10 Apr 2019Nokia vs Samsung
Blackberry vs Samsung
Apple vs Samsung
Huawei vs Samsung
= Samsung :)The only constant in that lineup is that Samsung has always been second.
I don't see Samsung as a leader, unfortunately. Yet, that goes same for Huawei.
I think its MORE possible that Google becomes a full-fledged OEM, and quickly overtakes Huawei and Samsung instead.
The thing separating the market leader and the second runner-up has never been hardware, or hardware alone. There was always something extra, some special sauce. And where I saw this previously with Nokia, Sony, Blackberry, Palm, Apple, and Google.... I don't see this with the likes of either Samsung or Huawei.
