nokia and samsung are two ends of mobile market..Nokia for basic needs and samsung for smart phones..
what samsung doing is introducing smart phones for every ends of the market and at different shapes...
once nokia did this with their symbian may be upto 2008.After that there is no big anouncement from nokia..They just withdrawn from the market...We can see the era of e series is ended..Latest C series are below par in quality..
nokia cheated its customers for a long time..They charged huge amount for resistive touch phones..Their technology is below par now..if doubt just compare a c7 or n8 with an android phone of htc or samsung..
Sony ericsson. .samsung..htc etc are making good phones now a days

Nokia made some great phones. It became synonymous with quality and trust. But the sad thing was it dropped its guard and lost its credibility. It totally neglected smart phone and dual sim segments. I am a nokia fan, but samsung deserves to win. Sadly nokia let its fans down. Samsung should also learn from nokia mistakes.

samsung will have difficult time when nokia gem comes out to the market. people still have trust and faith on nokia...samsung is a brand which stuggles in the market doing all sort of things to grab attention ... like a small baby. this time da koreans are playing with fire.... samsung be careful. might burn

Lets take into account something;
Nokia competed not only every phone maker but also every OS for many many years. They stood by their Symbian for a long time and sold more handsets than many companies together. Though, I'm up for new technology and innovation but I always consider hardware as my top priority and Nokia never let me down, whether its a $75 Nokia Classic or $600 Nokia N9.
I still wonder why they quit on Meego, cuz its such an awesome OS and many potential buyers didn't go for N9 just because of the same reason but here in Australia I went to two phone shops and they were run out of Magneta (out right handsets). To me it is still a success despite their backing off from such an excellent OS.
We all know one thing for sure (even Samsung's fans would also agree)that Samsung would have never stood a chance if they didn't start using Android OS.
Samsung is here just because they made better Android phones than their competition but that doesn't prove their handsets are better than Nokia's.
To me Nokia is like a work horse which never gets tired or lets you down, hell my 11 year old 8850 (very first phone) still works like a charm.

Nokia made a big mistake by picking up windows mobile as their OS replacing Symbian. I have not used any windows OS phone lately but used one long back (O2 or XDA forgot). The experience was a mess. I think its high time to grab android OS and try capitalizing what Nokia can offer in terms of durability which is nokia's key strength.
I am using blackberry for last 2 years or so as i was not getting what i wanted from symbian.

Like they say in Form is temprory and class is permanent .Only Nokia has class. Samsung raiding on fad of android and copying and stealing designs from apple will not be able to fake it for long. It should not be long before they are out.

Nokia dug his own grave and so he must lie in it. How do you let some stranger invade your house and take the master seat, issuing ultimatums of how business should be run in your own house? Ordering your lovely wife and kids around? Demanding you apply a differently colored coat of paint on the walls,replace the warm woolen rug with a plastic one,and a complete wardrobe makeover for you and your wife? That is just how Nokia is and will go down.Renowned kings and princes are powerful and sweet but they must wear a lion's face sometimes when tough decisions are to be made. Nokia has let Microsoft run his house and he must be ready to face the dire repercussions.Period.

Despite i am not sure whether Samsung will beat Nokia next year, but i am sure Nokia will be going down the drain in Malaysia, the new model launching is slow, no promotion, i believe Malaysian Nokia Marketing team are waiting for their retirement or retrenchment soon, Lumia 710 & 800 is already in Singapore Market since late last year yet no news in Malaysia, guess what even the 603 is not here yet, most of the Cellphone kiosk or shop is not promoting Nokia, infact one can only see some very old model on display.
Nokia if you seen this either you sack this bunch of idiot or you retreat from Malaysia market.
