Here in central europe 5G is still mystery and i dont see the point to buy 5G phone in next 2 years because i dont think 5G will spread so fast.
Even for 4G LTE it took several years to establish.
By the way huawei thing is much more practocal and looks a lot better.
But to be honest i rather wait for Moto Razr and what they will come up with.
While 5G might break out this year, it won't be more readily available until next year for a nationwide US deployment between all the major carriers. That means that I'll be replacing this phone if I buy it in a year if I want 5G connectivity. If this phone came out a year ago I would get it for the beastly specs alone, then I could at least claim to have used it for a good chunk of time and get good mileage out of it but if I'll be upgrading to a 5G phone next year then I'd rather wait. Still, it's different than the standard fare. If the Fold gets a 5G variant in the future I might change my mind.
Note7 owner, 16 Apr 2019Generation 3 would be much more practical. At this point it's more of a novelty. The folding screen will never be practical. It's durability will always be a weak point
