This is absurd, never heard such nonsense on other networks outside USA
ATT didn't charge for my activations even though I didn't buy the phone from them
broekhuijsen, 17 Apr 2019You have to pay to activate your phone? What ridiculous system is this? I think Europe is not ... moreTo be fair, there were times (at least in some European countries as far as I remember) when we had to pay such ridiculous fees, too. And it's not that long ago, e.g. just some 10-15 years in Central Europe? Also, even some European carriers still lock the phones they sell to their network and want you to pay for unlocking, a practice I thought is older than medieval :P And I also have vivid memories of abominations like incoming payment (non-international) fee on my bank account. So instead of schadenfreude, we should feel compassion ;)
This is not good for someone like me. I am a Verizon representative, and we representatives who sell make about 75-90% of our income through commission.
You have to pay to activate your phone? What ridiculous system is this? I think Europe is not so bad after all :D
