Go everybody watch Gary videos to understand that is is shitty way of testing phone speed, good way of testing but good way of testing RAM management

sped up to make it appear faster- that's what other people here are pointing out. the stopwatch is irrelevant because we were not timing it with the stopwatch; we were basing it on how it opens the app on the video itself. 99 seconds is not really difficult to watch, why couldn't they have it on regular speed to really show how fast the phone opens the apps in the first place? obviously it has been sped up to make it appear as if the apps are opening faster. if their intent is to demonstrate its speed by referencing to the stopwatch, then they should have provided a point of comparison. don't give us that cr@p about looking at the stopwatch, because there is clearly an intent to mislead.
ishreal, 18 Apr 2019Damn all the stupid people are on this comment thread lol. Listen folks, even though a 99 seco... moreYou don't understand the point here. Video is sped up to look like is opening apps is very fast. Also it doesnt show video is sped up. So it makes user believe it is fast like this. At the end of the video it is a real time in stopwatch but it doesnt make sence as we dont have to compare this to anything. Stopwatch is just to stoo bashing company about "unfairness". They are cheating. And they will not admit it cuz there is a stop watch at the end which is useless.
Recow, 18 Apr 2019Obivously that is not what they mean, if you speed up the video it seems as if the apps open v... morePrecisely.
The result may not be a cheat, but it's show/display is certainly deceptive.
Besides, the result may not be impressive itself if they "cherry picked" the Apps that run decent on the device. I see the same issues with Speedtest runs from USA, where those Apps don't apply to me living internationally.
Guess we need to wait for an Anandtech review, or maybe a "Speedtest G" from Gary Explains.
>>The video is obviously 2x speed; there is some Chinese in the top left corner I can't read but there is a '2x' in the middle. Also, as already stated, the entire video is sped up, not the stopwatch, so the stopwatch appears to be running at 2x speed. Therefore, it is in fact 99 seconds long.
>>There is also some noticeable jank when launching some of the apps, which is disappointing, as it shows Flyme OS's lack of polish.

Listen folks, even though a 99 seco... moreObivously that is not what they mean, if you speed up the video it seems as if the apps open very fast, but in reality it is a bit slower (real life speed). I can understand why people find this cheating in marketing.
99 second might not even be impressive if you can't compare it with other phones with the same apps. It just meaningless if you ask me, just a way to fool people to think that the phone is fast.
It's stupid to call people stupid if you can't even understand them :D
Barricade, 18 Apr 2019Wait, you mean a 54 second video of a 99 second chrono is fake marketing because the video is ... moreDude right? I find it baffling how dumb people are on here sometimes. Its common sense the video was sped up just to make it easier to watch, the timer still shows 99 seconds, no matter what speed you watch it at.
Damn all the stupid people are on this comment thread lol. Listen folks, even though a 99 second video is sped up (likely just so you don't have to watch the whole thing so slowly) doesn't mean its less than 99 seconds. You can speed up a 99 second video to 5 seconds, doesn't mean it still isn't 99 seconds in its original speed. How many of you have finished primary school on here?
You people clearly don't read articles from start to end nor understand what you see in the videos. Ofcourse it's sped up, the timer is the key here.
It looks like video was sped up if not its quite imoressive
indlvarn, 18 Apr 2019This video is faster than reality. Fake marketing.Wait, you mean a 54 second video of a 99 second chrono is fake marketing because the video is sped up? The chrono says 99 seconds, you know the chrono is proportionally sped up to the video right...
Doesn't matter if the video is speeded up, look at the final timer.
