Nokia: Hold my Beer well i for one never meant to displace nokia in durability aspect. was merely stating a fact that finally huawei made a phone as durable as it can get. and im not a huawei fan, not yet anyway.
Impressive. Phone is a lot more durable than Galaxy fold also a lot better than S10 .
Nicely done Huawei.
Torturing is not a problem, it's a just negligent way of using. But accident the worst scenario that you could imagine like dropping the phone front face. I accidentally drop 2 feet my galaxy S10+ the gorilla glass cracks into two lines, the protection back cover and front glass protection didn't help.
rizki1, 21 Apr 2019they won't use Gorilla Glass, because they can raise prices! also they use own soc. But their ... morethe lawyer/accountant in me would like to disagree. i will only label a device as "overpriced" when the actual information on the actual manufacturing costs, (variable and fixed costs to name a few) is revealed, (not just a tidbit of info). it is however suffice and fair to label this device as "expensive", but overpriced? no, since we cannot reliably determine the costs from huawei's or any oem's pov.
so yes this device is expensive, very expensive. but "overpriced"? clearly there is a distinction between these terms that we must recognize first before outright labeling it with.
Crazyguy, 20 Apr 2019but it doesn't have Gorilla Glass... Might shatter on dropthey won't use Gorilla Glass, because they can raise prices! also they use own soc. But their phones actually overpriced for sure!
The width is a matter. Narrower can have better grip but wider can have more risk on Phone slipping out of hand. Especially the wider width with extra thickness both of it.
realitychecker, 20 Apr 2019this is good start in aspect of durability. i think huawei finally did it. Huawei FanBoy: WoW what a achievement phone survive
Nokia: Hold my Beer
Huawei's quality standards have been improving at a fast & steady pace. Their latest flagships are totally on par with Apple/Samsung flagships in terms of build quality & choice of materials. Good work indeed!
Anonymous, 20 Apr 2019That's good if I drop it.. it won't shatter like my last Huawei P20 Pro did... Glass is glass, why are you saying it won't shatter? The only difference between the durability test of the P20 Pro and P30 Pro, is that it didn't bend.
this is good start in aspect of durability. i think huawei finally did it.
Walter C. Dornez, 19 Apr 2019They finally did it. We got em boysbut it still:scratches at level 6 and deeper grooves at level 7
That's good if I drop it.. it won't shatter like my last Huawei P20 Pro did...
