Its GPU that records 1080p Video not CPU eg: Old Pentium 4 Processor with 3Ghz clock can't play even 720p video
If you want poor quality 1080p there are plenty of option go for that or get a real camera

i wonder hw NOKIA is going to do it wid WP?????they cudnt do it wid symbian,maemo,meego....even though dey enjoyed a lot of success wid symbian,but wat was d logic behind moving to WP??dey cudnt do justice wid n900 n n9..evenif lumia900 becomes a superhit,dat will hardly do any damage to android(as per me)..if a 64GB N cudnt do it den even LUMIA1200 CANT DO IT....:(

Anyhow, Lumia 900 does not have Symbian either.

Why Nokia left Meego for WP7. Both of them are Great OS. I'm so disappointed when the Meego (Tizen) were collaborating with Samsung. Great OS in poor design phone.

OK W... moretook a look at the video you suggested... the n8 vs the wave. and honestly felt the footage from the n8 had more natural color and felt less fuzzy. and all of the videos I've seen of the n8 vs other phones shows the n8 to have superior sound quality too. and i mentioned it before... try zooming in with other phones recording at 720... they won't hold that 720 resolution when zoomed... the n8 does.

@nokia rulez ,symbian is just like programmed os for old brick game console ..but android is a fully featured heavy os may hav little lag on single cores not on dual cores(dont say android lags on dulcre since you never have touched a dualcore and also i never felt a lag) atleast that makes sense. android is not for the hopeless kids like you

You yourself brought up how low spec the CPU actually is. The screen is subpar, the touch-capabilities are. Personally, I don't even find the build quality all that, but I could understand a different view on that part.

You're comparing integrated graphics with a dedicated solution and then put a wrong conclusion on why the latter is better. It's like comparing Intels HD3000 with a GTX580 and then claim the latter is better due to the used OS.

You do realize that this GPU offloads the "OH MY GOD IT'S ONLY 680MHz AND DOING MIRACLES" from tasks like playing video, don't you? Or do we want to not mention that purposely, do deceive people over here?

Do you expect me... moreoh god give me a break if you look close i have said 680 Mhz and 800 Mhz do processors knows that it is installed in low cost phone so they should not play 720p LOL i'm just showing that mhz is useless if OS is not proper BTW N8 GPU is powerful than many high-end android phones of that time (most of them where stuck with Andreno 205 vs Broadcom BCM 2727 (N8) )
