AnonD-12210, 15 Jan 2012N8 is a yr old phone but still talked about. With belle it has come on par with others. The N8 by far isn't the only year old phone being talked about. That said, it has nothing to do with Lumia 900, which, being the subject of the article, is worse than N8 by many standards, while N8, except for a good camera, had nothing going for it, with sub par hardware all over the place and software that, albeit better than Windows Phone 7.

No usb mass storage = dumb phone. Ok, there probably are some hacks to get around this, but when I plug a Nokia phone into my computer, I just expect to be able to add content without being tied to proprietory software. Just like iOS, you struggle to add content. My old Samsung Wave running bada has usb storage, and that was considered a simple feature phone. No bluetooth file transfer just like iOS. Is this all really a step forward or just another bunch of control freaks dictating how you will consume media on the device you have paid for?
Long live meego, symbian, android, and to a certain extent, bada.

[deleted post]I never said I'm unhappy with my S or Tab. Infact, ICS on my S runs way more smoother than GB on S2 (I know ICS is coming for S2 officially soon) ! What I was referring to that I want to try something new now - read WP7
Anynomous , 14 Jan 2012March 18 - Lumia 900 release March 23 - Elop resignationJust hope this really happens as Mr Elop seems to know nothing about Smartphones an what customers want from Nokia, how many companies produce there best phone then not let be sold Globally as the Nokia N9 is a big example how bad things are at Nokia, this phone could have been a big success for Nokia, but Mr Elop was more bothered about helping is old employees Microsoft do the same as Apple be successful in the Mobile an Computer Markets, but not really bothered about improving Nokia,Symbian an Windows are Miles apart an not many Nokia Symbian users with switch to Windows because losing Bluetooth sending an recieving an no micro sd card slot an having to Zune after using Nokia Suite for ages,Mr Elop as got no Brains at All picking Windows as Android is more like Symbian
AnonD-12210, 15 Jan 2012ok so why they r nt able 2 produce the greatest cams ?Why, the focus is elsewhere. Like giving the best possible overall experience. Something Nokia has been not doing for ages anymore, which is showing in their ever declining sales numbers. Windows Phone does not change anything in that. It's worse than Symbian, with a shiny colourful interface for people with thick fingers. Nokia should have invested way more in Meego and what is following it (yes, the N9 isn't the last phone with Linux by the looks of things). Instead, they chose the easy route by accepting a big bag of coins from Elops 'former' employer, with nothing going for that bag except short term stock pushing.

I have not used any Lumia yet but really look forward to buying Lumia 900 when it comes out. I'm really so impressed with the free flow UI of WP7 and the overall performance this OS offers.

AnonD-252, 15 Jan 2012LTE is pointless on a phone that can not even handle Adobe Flash 11!By your logic, flash is the only consumer to the LTE? I don't think that is correct. Look at the cloud storage, video streaming and what not?

[deleted post]Companies have quite the freedom to change things in Android. If they don't like something, they can improve on it. How would you explain the wide variation of quality of pictures throughout the Android phone range. Not only due to hardware. It's because how the different companies have their own settings/algorithms for post-processing what the objective/cmos captures. Just the 'objective' of the phone can make or break the image quality significantly. Just pointing at Android and laugh as the source of 'bad quality' is not much of a sign you are aware of the whole business.
AnonD-36668, 15 Jan 2012Some android fones which have 12 mp camera r realeasing this year....lets wait n watchmy frnd believe me MP shows the area of picture taken. It does not relate to the quality of picture. Lets see what happen this year . Btw n8 successor is also coming this year so camera fight is going to be even hotter and we will get a lot more topics to discuss in future. :)
