They are overpriced, they need to loose the notch, keep the ip69 and mil standard, boombox and add a good battery with camera and telephoto lense. Price between 300 and 450euros and they will sell like hotcakes. Did not buy any of their phone recently just because of the ugly notch, price and lack of 5x telephoto. A mobile phone should cost less not more with technology advancement.
LG will close down the mobile department before the move is even finished. Any Chinese phone is better than G8 / V50
Paulw, 24 Apr 2019I guess that Vietnam is the new cheap China for manufacturing. Cutting cost Samsung did it since S7.
LG sucks in their OS, period. I have G6, once bootloop screwed my data (warranty replacement of mobo that was soldered to the internal memory costed the entire data loss), the other time the OS corrupted my microSD. Battery life has been terrible, thanks again to the OS. The only consolation is the great camera (I have heard the recent ones from LG are not as competitive). Perfect example of pathetic software management of great hardware.
LG
Life's gone
LG should just sell their smartphone division to a more competent company and focus on selling parts (like Sony's camera).
I hope in Vietnam, they would start manufacturing LG G9 without the ThinQ as AI was so 2017.
What I wish the G9 would have is the improved Hand ID and gestures while having a minimal to waterdrop notch, QuadDAC headphone jack, a proper Stereo Speakers which is top and bottom firing (GSMArena Excellent rating), Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, QC4+ charging, bigger sensor camera modules like I wanted them to use the common IMX586 and of course, no more segmentation. It's simpler and cost effective to sell one version with everything.

And their flagships don't offer enough good cameras, fresh design and a good software support with frequent updates.
All wrong but they seems don't want to change because their ego want to match Samsung prices and above without offer equal service and equivalent components.

blame it to Chinese companies
they released their phones with same specs if not higher but in a cheaper price.
LG left the group
They just need to add android one and better camera close to pixel
Sad that my favourite brand is going down as pack of cards due to lack of s/w support and poor pricing strategy..

Honestly, with LG quality control being what it is, things can only get better...
Good news for North Korea
I still own a factory unlocked LG G5 that was made in South Korea. It's probably one of the few smartphones I plan to keep for life next to my Essential Phone and Xiaomi Mi 3. The Google Pixel 3 which arrives in 5 days could be part of that group too if doesn't give me problems.
