derek, 19 Jan 2012sony should also concentrate on basic handsets You are right. Sony should also make low-end strong and compact phones. If we need one today we have to decide between nokia, samsung or LG.

Tapioca is a brasilian name, it is a kind of candy, very popular and very cheap, it should be a phone entry level, judging by price e codename.

The affordable Sony ST21i Tapioca is said to use 800MHz cpu packs 512MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM and possibly microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, 3.2 inches screen with 320x480 resolution.

Tapioca DS.? Dual sim? Dual screen? Dual shock?

Eagerly waiting for the Novathor + Whitemagic based flagships to be announced later this year.

It'll be quite something to look forward to =)

Sony is likely to announce 2 mid-range phones to accompany Xperia S as the flagship at MWC.
The high-end phones in the second half of the year will be announced later(Summer).
It's common marketing sense, Sony won't want people to think they are not buying the best phone available.
