im due for upgrade from this sat 21st jan....now is it better to go for the s2hd or s3 my main prefferenmce is the camera know the s2 has 8mp but wht does the s2hd and s3 have thats better

Android manufactures have
an issue. They are making
new handsets as fast as they
can, in so many varieties
they can’t keep up with
updating them all. It’s all
about resource dollars. They
COULD upgrade them all to
ICS if they wanted, but then
why put in the energy and
money. The sad truth is that
once the phone is out the
door, its all but forgotten
upgrade wise.On to the next
model to bring in more
money. It can’t be about the
customer experience, it’s
about the bank account

I mean heck, it's going to be Partial HD (720p) so technically it's not even HD. 1080p is HD but even still, on a screen 4.3/4.7 inches big, you can hardly see the difference.

I am waiting for SIII. ... moreNo, it just means that this is the last major Galaxy S2 variant before Samsung officially announce the Galaxy S3 at Mobile world Congress next month on the 27th. In a way I prefer it when they stick to one.flagship phone a year and release different variations of the model so the phone's life is prolonged. If the s2 were a.car, it would be the Porsche 991 of 2007-11 before Porsche unveiled the 2012 997 model, remember no one does about 50 versions of the car like Porsche do before eventually replacing it, similar.story with the S2

this is good but I agree with some of the other comments If you are going to buy a new phone look at the Sony X S or even the new LG handsets.

I think that original international version is great in lookin'. I checked all galaxy SII version realised; international version holds best in looking [ for me ].

yes but you dont take the 1.4 if you don,t like the looks or styling as well the xperia has much better looks and whow whants carry a massive screen around with them 4.3 just the right size im going for the xperia s rather than the galaxy note or s2

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2012The original can be clocked to 1.6 safely, so apart from the screen there is no real difference.Perhaps it can, if you know what you're doing with overclocking smart phones, but for the average user, this isn't applicable.
Therefore the S2HD is an improvement over the S2. Quite a feasable one, that I bet a lot of people would be interested in ;D
