I like the S1 more and it's certainly better than the pro version. With the powerful Helio P70 SoC and better storage, it's certainly a better choice.
It's like the V15Pro... why that? There is no sense in that spam of products...
As if my original comment was anything offensive, why does it have to be deleted?
Vivo employee who can't handle their bad sh* t that they've done, eh?
Cost like Nubia red magic 3 but this two devices can't be compared, cause Nubia is one of best devices on the market.
If this device were a few hundred RMB cheaper, it could be a competitive device. However, Vivo has priced this in Mi 9 territory (2999RMB) and shot themselves in the foot. This phone (specification wise) should have competed in price with the SE variant of Mi 9 (1999RMB).
For just 300RMB more the Mi 9 has a telephoto lens, SD855, an arguably sleeker look, USB-C (not that I really care), fast wireless charging, and an arguably better OS.
On the other hand, this new Vivo device does have some advantages. A much better selfie camera that pops up, a notch-less display, and most likely better battery life (675 likely less battery intensive, and it has a 400MaH battery).
Both devices have their compromises, but I think that many informed consumers would pick the Mi 9. With that being said, I totally agree that having no-notch and a better battery life is very attractive.
Had Vivo charged 2300 or 2400, it would have been a very good choice competing instead with the Mi 9 SE.
[deleted post]Probably because USB looks like US Better. And if it's USB-C, It looks like US Better, Minus China. You know how translating to/from Chinese is often Hit or Miss so that may translate into US Bigger, Minuscule China. So Chinese OEMs are offended by USB-C so they keep avoiding it. In the meantime, MicroUSB seems like Microscopic US Baboons. So they try to promote it.
To lame decisions, lame explanations
[deleted post]And should I mentioned that Vivo S1 Pro is V15 Pro (same as S1 is vanilla V15), just this time only for China (where the mid-range smartphone market already oversaturated)? And yes, it's disturbing to know that this phone has Micro-USB and their siblings too...
