Nah 64gb with no sd slot is useless. "Clean" android is toocrappy too. Zero reason to buy it.

P.S I agree that Micromax and stuff is crap, but Indian market has better phones for 40k
What is wrong with all you people. Why do you hate on everything that is not a cheap ass Xiaomi device?
Having a headphone jack is a welcome move but the prices are too steep in India you can buy flagships of last generations like the Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 8, LG V30+, LG G7 and OP 6T cheaper than these.
I don't believe google anymore after pixel 3.
Guess battery in 3a will be a bit better but still weak.

I lived in the Philippines. They are just as OCD with ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING especially in price than Indians. If all India can offer is cheap Xiaomi or their own Micromax, don't bother.
I've tried alot of different brands. I lived and breathed phones for over 15 years. I used to live next to a mall that had two stories dedicated to phones. There were cheap Filipino brands that were just Chinese white box crap.
There's very, very quality brands out there. Many of those popular brands in India aren't one of them..
The bezel-less is a design gimmick that is fooling more people into buying them. They bring nothing practical except it looks cool for people. There should be some bezel to prevent accidental touches.
Practicality to me are things like hand comfort, smooth software experience, and battery life. Not if it's bezel-less or is thin. Design and marketing has brainwashed everyone.
If you never owned a Pixel or don't currently own one, then yes. They're good.
If you already own a Pixel 3 / 3 XL, then you're fine. You don't need them.
I prefer the smaller Pixel 3a but it's actually no different than the size of the iPhone XR but narrower.
If I see it drop to $199, then I will really consider getting one. Since I got my Pixel 3 for only $50 more than a 3a and with double the storage, then the 3a just feels redundant to me.
I might be sorta done with smartphones for awhile until one of my three phones breaks especially my Essential Phone and Pixel 3.
I don't see anything out there anymore I really want. These factors all matter to me -
Software experience (I prefer stock)
Size (nothing bigger than 148 mm in height)
Matte back (Pixel 3 has a matte glass back)
Since the Pixel 3 came with USB-C headphones that work decent for my other phones, I don't really need a headphone jack.
There's just nothing out there. There's the OPPO Find X from last year but I hate the size, software skin, and the glass back.
I've also checked on Sony but they don't do compact phones anymore and their Xperia XZ1 Compact doesn't have the Pie pill for gestures.
There is nothing out there for me. Foldables are still in the trial and error beta stages. My focus is getting a Nintendo Switch Lite for $199.
1. Google Pixel 3 (128 GB / black)
2. Essential Phone (128 GB / halo gray)
3. LG G5 (128 + 32 GB / silver)
I'm good for years until my Top 2 breaks. I love to stay with Pie for years as well. I don't want to return to side swipes as back gestures.
My Top 2 are very, very smooth. My Essential is over 8-months-old and no slowdown yet. Time to retire from phones for awhile.
No dual sim, Old design, Not a bezel-less screen, Price don't work for India. we already have superb phones for 1/4th price of this brand crap.
Never really understood these mid-range phones when you can just pick up last year's flagship and still be ahead with build quality, water proofing, wireless charging and especially in this case chip performance for equalivant or not much more money.
most ugly phones ever yuck
As someone from the United States these phones aren't worth the money since they are more of a push for their cloud service which with my large micro sd I will never need it.

Lower price tag would have been easier to digest.
Also, Indian pricing is absolutely nuts.
These phones are only competitive in the US. In Europe, Honor-Xiaomi-OPPO will give them a hard time. I'm not even sure people in China will be interested in these, they have so many better options for less money.
