irfrogg, 25 Jan 2012I hope Sony uses a Xenon flash? I have a 12MP Nokia N8 + Xenon flash works very well. Only d... morenot only xenon aswell as the sensor make it 1/1.8" or larger and use premium lenses like Carl Zeiss since Sony is already using it on their cameras not just plastic ones, but I think this will not going to happen coz if Sony produce a quality image in their cameraphones they will kill their cameras.
I hope Sony uses a Xenon flash?
I have a 12MP Nokia N8 + Xenon flash works very well.
Only downside is you can't use LED's as a Torch.
rafie, 25 Jan 2012Hahaha here come the wave... Keep saying nokia n8 better... Sensor from toshiba?? Hahaha ... E... morehey! Stop red herring asking questions from someone that isnt working from nokia, why dont you go to nokia and ask them lol.
Come back here if you have enough proofs, i think you dont know what you've talking about, N8 sensor is not perfect everyone knows that and we wont hide its flaws, but one thing is for sure its better than your favorite Sony Sensor, you want logic? N8 sensor is much more larger than Sony Sensor. Now if dont agree then post some logics lol.
rafie, 25 Jan 2012Hahaha here come the wave... Keep saying nokia n8 better... Sensor from toshiba?? Hahaha ... E... moreyou keep telling that the N8's sensor was from SONY but you dont have any links for proof lol, anyway here's my proof enjoy
since you are here why dont you check the review of arc and arc S about their crap back lit sensors :D
Hahaha here come the wave... Keep saying nokia n8 better... Sensor from toshiba?? Hahaha ... Everyone know sony are the main supplier for nokia sensor. Well ... no one want to admint the device that their use had a weekness.. If n8 camera so good in quality or whatever it does... Why the sensor of n8 not being adapt to other nokia sibling?? If its said the best?? Why only n8?? From that we can see nokia n8 just another failure product from nokia.
rafie, 24 Jan 2012Why everyone said nokia n8 camera better then sony even they already know that nokia used sony... moreare you drunk or what? Anyway fyi N8 uses sensor from toshiba, N8 is much better than your favorite Sony backlit sensor even without flash, by the way have you tried their latest sony experia arc? The picture was bright compare to N8 ofcourse but if you look closer its a crap due to scattered artifacts in the image of xperia arc and very noisy too, image from N8 is much cleaner but not as bright as the xperia arc. who needs a bright dirty looking image anyway lol.
In daylight N8 produce well exposed and sharp images thanks to its built-in Neutral Density Filter, a filter that blocks light so the image wont overexposed just like what happened to xperia arc's review here, is that a Sony quality photo? Nah only blind stupid fanboys will love it lol.
Sample->Retail Ti, 24 Jan 2012How much time is needed from the time of sampling the module to the time when there's a retail... moreDepends on various factors, including how much a manufacturer is willing to push new technology. It is rumored that Apple will begin using the standard this year. They did the same with 802.11n, putting it into MacBook Pros before the standard was even finalized.
How much time is needed from the time of sampling the module to the time when there's a retail device that is using it?
Why everyone said nokia n8 camera better then sony even they already know that nokia used sony sensor same goes to apple and other brand.. Sensor just like iso in dslr which is it can take good picture in low light quality without using flash.. And that a bettery saving.nokia n8 yes can take a good picture when using flash but does it can take good picture with no flash support? Sony make a great brake thru by introduce new era of camera sensor for smartphone and maybe other big brand will add this sensor to their device. Other then sony user should thanksful to sony for this new sensor that might be attach to your device someday which is user other label.. Maybe like nokia n samsung.. :-)
Nik, 23 Jan 2012Nokia n8 dont need more ram and processor like ur fragmented android....and n8's battery is wa... moreyeah, thanks to samsung technology the n8 has 210 ppi resolution!
and look at your words, you are comparing a device (n8) to an operating system (android)
i would rather hear from you about the crippled symbian in comparison to the mountain top android OS.
good luck with windows mobile!
jbpianist28, 24 Jan 2012are you a twit???
sensor size matters alot for your imformation, and those sensors are so tin... moreI agree with you thats why all slr use huge sensor and not just relying on the technology like backlit sensor, SONY is relying on their technology and trying to produce good quality picture in a ultra tiny sensor, trying to break the law of physics? Hehe!
This is the 2nd epic fail of sony, the 1st one is found on SE xperia arc / S, its a backlit sensor but the picture quality is worse both in day (over exposed) and lowlight (noisy and with unwanted artifacts scattered in the image)
mixa, 23 Jan 2012lolN8? Wasnt that the total fail of nokia at flagships?
Just fyi the sensor size doesnt matte... moreare you a twit???
sensor size matters alot for your imformation, and those sensors are so tiny, resulting in poor quility, not like the n8 wich is way bigger, if you think sensor size is not important than go ask any photography and they will tell you otherwise....
Jens, 24 Jan 2012geez.. n8 is not everything.. in term of apps, n8 still way behind..this topic is for photography capabilities, stop red herring because you cant beat the quality of image that N8 brings.
TSH, 24 Jan 2012Hrm... I'm always critical of tiny sensor sizes like this, but it bears remembering that iP4s ... moreIn case any n8 bigger sensor higher quality geeks didnt know, iphne 4s uses the 8mp sensor made by sony for vivaz and xperia neo 8mp. Which is very smaller than these rgbw ones.
When it comes to imagery, sony rules . As with design, battery backup, interface and quality.
The place where they lag is marketing. Often fail to launch the right device at the right time. Thats all.
geez.. n8 is not everything.. in term of apps, n8 still way behind..
Hrm... I'm always critical of tiny sensor sizes like this, but it bears remembering that iP4s has a pretty small sensor but produces quite decent photos thanks to other factors.
Proof of the pudding is in the eating - very eager to see how the upcoming handsets compare to the N8 in GSMA's awesome photo comparison tool.
haha! Sony is making an experiment here trying yo beat a larger sensor with a tiny sensor but this time its tinnier than before, look at xperia arc it has a larger sensor compare to this newly announced and also a back illuminated cmos still cant deliver a quality photo, both day and lowlight at night, the pictures are bright but the picture looks so dirty to noise and artifacts, N8's sensor slaps Sony being a camera maker company, N8 demonstrate the photography :)
