large sensors alread, 23 Jan 20121/3.06"??? 1/4"??? Is this a joke? Give us decently sized sensors, Sony! Look at t... moreSamsung Galaxy S2 has 1/3.2. so 1/3.06 is actually an improvment. using larger sensor like the one in N8 will make the phone thicker.

It would be easier for them to just put a xenon flash in one of the phones....N8 rules...

From this, i can already predict that Apple will surely ask Sony to put this new 13MP sensor for their next iPhone.

Good news for me btw, new technology is always welcomed, also i can see that N8 camera sensor is already beaten by this new developed sensor, not just pixels count but picture quality too. i hope GSMArena will make photo comparison out of this in their reviews once the handset that equipped with this sensor is out.

Give us decently sized sensors, Sony! Look at the Nokia N8, or at least the Samsung Galaxy S II. Much larger sensors, not much impact in the size of the optics.
