that camera has a weird way of popping out. failure or breaking that pop up camera mechanism has more probability than the likes of a90, oneplus7 pro and realme x

Asus will never reach at the top with their slow update ecosystem , having high end hardware is only one aspect of this game

I hope the cameras don't flip like that. That seems even more likely to break than a pop-up camera. But overall seems promising, big battery, headphone jack, and micro SD slot. Hope it has NFC too

I mean it looks ugly and the camera solution is much worse, chin too, but still, if it has notification led, that works, it is better.

Ugh, the flip-up camera is worse than the pop-up selfie camera of the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Since 7pro is sold out anyway I'm curious when this will be available as it may be actually more useful for me having notification led, hopefully it has okishly bright display.

Above the OnePlus of course. The OnePlus 7/7Pro lack a lot of usefull features and have a lot smaller battery. Plus after watch their camera results are far from S10 and Huawei phones quality and results. This time DxOmark lost the little credibility they had left.
This even has a better relation price/performance/quality. It'd be one of my choices if it would have underdisplay fingeprint sensor for unlock it without grab it from the table and not to use old slow methods like the pin or pattern. I don't use the selfie camera but i doubt that there will be nice cases without the horrendous hole for the camera rotating module. We will see...
In any case a welcome phone that will match the preferences of some people at a better price than OnePlus 7 Pro. I'll probably watch the event tomorrow for wach if they still reveal some unexpected surprise. Waiting for the Honor 20 too and Redmi/Poco Killers for watch what they offer and compare the reviews of all them.

Just one thing.
Nubia red magic 3 have also 5000 mAh battery and equaly good features a lot better display and cooling system and cost only 400 bucks.
Asus can go nuts with its always late on the party updates which is comparable to Sony Samsung LG and HTC.
