Hey nik, you can download the lg driver and mobile update tool known as LGMobile support tool and install them in sequence.

Hi guys,
I am using the P970 as my second phone so the usage of the phone is at minimum.
The battery after the update is very better. Before the update buttery was running out after 2 Days, after the update (3 weeks ago) and a FACTORY RESET my battery is at 25% after 5 Days of minimum usage. I thing is excellent performance for android Phone.

Just wanted to know if the ANdroid 2.3 update is available for Optimus 3d also. And is it best to update this at the service center or can you do it yourself through PC SUITE. Also how is the performance for Optimus 3D?

0201luka, 25 Jan 2012hi...i wait from november to get the update for my lg black...i still run on 2.2.2 froyo...can... moreUpdated to 2.3.4 but the battery back is becoming worst. It was better b4 updating to Gingerbread.
@LG Need to fix this problem in Gingerbread other wise tell me how to rollback to previous version

I have just update my P970 to 2.3.4
Country: Cyprus (Phone from Greece).Everything is looking good, but just to make sure, I have reset everything.
Now I am testing the battery life. This is the main and perhaps the only problem of this phone.

I have upgraded my ob to gb yesterday by using LGPCSuiteIV, but I see that the performance of the phone has deteriorated and there are problems. My data and applications have remained intact. But when I had gone to service centre, they said that all the phone data will be erased and it will be like a new phone, if I upgrade through them. Will it help me if get the upgrade done through service centre? Or do I factory reset the phone for better performance?

well, wayy too long for the update... my phone life's going to expire soon and no point updating after a year where other phones have been using ice cream sandwich. Android sucks big time compared to iOS platform where the hardware is compatible with the latest OS update.

gingerbread firmware is super smooth for lg optimus black. Lock screen and the camera app have improved a lot. Sad to see only minor UI changes but any way they are working a lot smoother........
