Seriously, this is among the poorest investment of money in a phone on the market. While the touchscreen interface may appear to be innovative, they actually stole the design from LG prada phone. The web browser is probably the only piece of software that is ahead of the game. The poor quality camera, basic mp3 player, and apple's tight control and distribution via ridiculous locking strategies are all great reasons not to purchase this unit. If you are willing to spend $500 or more for a phone, just get n95. If your interested in the touch interface, get htc touch. If you like a big screen, get a smartphone.

if you read the comment "mate", it says that the ferrari is superior to a corvette, clearly, there is no doubt about that, it was an analogy, meaning that the iphone is a great phone, and has alot of things that are way better than other phones out there, including the quality of materials, and worksman ship( like a ferrari) nokia, samsung, sony ericson, motorola etc.... are pieces of junk, and ive owned at least one from each brand, they use junk materials, have junk quality, and it makes calls and texts, takes pictures, has mp3, internet etc, even though the iphone may not have video, or bluetooth transfering, who cares? it does alot of other things that other phones cant compare to( like a P.O.S. corvette cant compare to a ferrari) get it now??? by the way the bluetooth also works in bluetooth compatible cars, such as acura, lexus, and can link very easily, as well as dl the phone book to the car, which my nokia, and samsungs could not.so its not just a bluetooth headset that it works with.

The iphone does have bluetooth but it can only be used with the iphone bluetooth headset and can't be used for sending/recieveing files. Also there is no mms.

ok, i think ive read enough comments about the iphone not being a good phone, ive owned one since it first came out in june, ive had nothing but good things to say about it, its a great phone, that works well, and looks good too, from the sounds of it most of you are just upset about the cost of it, which actually isnt really that high,a standard ipod is 249.00 and the phone adds a better ipod, a phone, internet, and a camera! among other things. is it because you dont have the money to buy one that your upset? or just jealous, im confused? ya know a corvette cost alot less than a ferrari, but given the price which one would most people rather have if they WERE the same exact price???? id think most people are going to go with the ferrari, even tho it has alot of the same technology, the ferrari does alot of things better and probably some things worse than the corvette...bottom line is both are cars and they get you from point a to point b, but id rather be rolling the ferrari, not a piece of crap chevy. thats just me, i guess, lol....

I'm disappointed in Europeans buying the iphone. Given that they are more experienced cell phone consumers, I thought that they would pass this one up. I owned one and will be getting rid of it soon and I can honestly say that aside from the big screen and wifi, its not that great. Dialing is a such a pain, and if one were in an emergency and needed to dial quickly without room for mistakes, the iphone would fail miserably !! I think i'm going to go with n95 or n82.

Personally i think the iphone is a great multimedia device, it has serious drawbacks thought, but in terms of u.i. design and use...its unbelieveable. You have to be honest now (those who have actually played with one rather then people who just believes what the read on a a website)its a great device that isnt worth the money...no bluetooth, video capture, and many more.. but my god this is still a great gadget...but unfortunatly thats all it is....a really really expensive handheld multimedia device... I think i;kk wait it out until 2nd or 3rd gen before i fork out for one and all the little flaws are worked out..

So if i buy an unlocked iPhone for 649 EUR will I be able to use it on other countries than France and will I get the updates?

I think that iPhone is fantastic mobile for people who like multimedia coz iPhone integrate iPod progrma - the most powerful program in multimedia- but there is alot of disadvantages in this phone like: the Camera cann't record video just photos & u can't costomuize the photos u cann't excnage anything with ur friends such as (photos, ring tones, MP3 music) u just can add new ringtone from the website.
4 me, If i have enough money I wil puy it

Strange how people can be that snobbish to buy old phone technology in a swell casing with some few extras.
How shallow can one be but he people are still free to buy and do what they want.
Even the sms function reminds me of the problems between owners of Panasonic mobile phones and Nokia phones just because Panasonic was not able to cope with the Nokia Easy SMS Software resulting in a blocked access for all sms at the SMSC's of the operator...

Look at the spec & the price tag!!!!
