hopefully it comes with a 4.3" anything bigger is just too big...
I really hope they do not increase the size on the Galaxy SIII. I would buy the Galaxy Nexus but it is huge. The Galaxy SII is big enough, just make the screen higher definition, put in a new quad-core processor and GPU and don't change anything else. If anybody wants a huge screen, then get the Galaxy Note. There will probably be a quad-core successor to the Note as well.

The handset is designed for those who require the power of 4 cores. Users buying a smart phone are well aware their choices.
and lastly, samsung would not have gambled (especially with Galaxy S lineups) with SGS3 configuration without a proper market analysis and growing tech trends..

I acknowledged SGS2 as the first iPhone-killer and really set the standards f... morei agree that XE is better than SGS2 but wait till the XPERIA S comes out coz it will kill other phones out including XE with its HD screen resolution and better camera quality. Sony also leads the market by making phones with the best sound quality especially when we talk about the loudspeaker. XPERIA S rules! samsung will feel too plastic-ky and too light i bet. quad cores doesn't impress me especially that it only has 1.6gHz on it plus battery life might be worse than SGS2.
galaxy s => a perfect phone
S II => flagship of the planet
wt i expect from s III other than usual things are
-HDR cam
-lag less video recording (fixed 30 fps or higher)
-over 2500 mAh battery
-gorilla glass front and back / scratch resistant back panel and high durability
-hd ready ultra bright display (more than 600nits) and their infinite contrast ratio
-xenon flash or equivalent
-best quality audio with high dynamic range
-a unique and innovative design
Can u? wt ever the price is i dnt worry

AnonD-35482, 25 Jan 2012To each his own. I acknowledged SGS2 as the first iPhone-killer and really set the standards f... moreThere's nothing classy, effecient or fast about the Sensation XE, its NOWHERE NEAR as fast as a Galaxy S2 despite being clocked at 1.5GHz its still destroyed by GS2.
GS2 with TW4.0 is faster, a lot more effecient (even GSMArena Battery test proves this!), and far more stable than the XE. The GS2 can even handle HD1080P flash on large web pages, XE barely manages HD720P flash, just goes to show how powerful the GS2 is. SenseUI has proven to be a resource hog and tends to slowdown the XE and give poor batt life.
No, sound quality is just as good in the GS2 thanks to its DNSe sound engine.
GS2 maybe plastic but its great quality, and atleast it doesnt suffer from "Antennagate" which the Sensation/XE do due to their poor GSM and WiFi design and placement.
SGS2 battery life itself has been horrible with just dual core, now SGS3 with quad-core??? With battery technology not improving too much, the options are
- efficient OS (Android, not really proven efficiency)
- bigger phone (Galaxy note proved it doesnt really help battery life)
- fatter phone (ugly, as thin was Samsung selling point)
Knowing Samsung, they will just continue powering up phones, while ignoring battery life like they did SGS2, hoping customers wouldn't notice.
Too bad for Samsung, as evident in the comments here, they won't get away with that trick again.
the single core intel atom running on GINGERBREAD would still be on top of this on benchmarks and battery life.
c'mon samsung. Make it fast.
Does NOT mater how good it is - a little more than a year ago I spent $600 for Galaxy S and Samsung officially claimed no more support and updates for it!!! The phone is full of bugs and never get to the point to be finished product, but Samsung (and co.) got my fully completed $600. So, feel free to be stupid as me.... Also the 12M camera advertisement is BS because the problem with the image quality on all those cameras is not the pixels count but the compression afterwards. In essence compression means discarding pixels as non important. Hate to say that but iPhone is the only one at this moment not cheating with that - the bit rate is 25MB/s. That's the range of pro-summer 3-5000 dollars camcorder with 720P or 1440x1080i or HDV recording. Samsung - I believe is around 10MB/s. So... go give your money and support to Samsung...
Quad Core; I hope, it will match Android's hunger.
Samsung has really outdone it self
SI, 25 Jan 2012Samsung has to release the high end phone in normal phone size. Pl. note we want phone not tabI totally agree with you bro. Samsung should release smart phones in smart sizes like others.
I wish battery life, sound quality and build quality will be improve on galaxy s III rather than go behind speed improvements blindly.
The speed of galaxy S II is more than enough. We don't want phone to use as a laptop. No phone or tablet can replace laptop. They can improve performance through software integration rather than going to quad core processor.
EnvySGS2, 24 Jan 2012From my understanding not all four cores will be running all at the same time samsung is using... moreI think all that matters is performance per watt. If its higher despite having more cores, its still a winner.
How is the battery life ?
Like the SGS2 the G3 kick all other high end smartphones backsides, I have the then top end Samsung from 2009 the Omnia HD which comes with SYMBIAN s60v5 quick made the then top end Nokia n97 getup like a crappy ZTE ... In other words the G3 will be again the smartphone of the year just like G1 and G2.
My point is that Samsung are giving the consumer base what they want and not what that neede aka Apple and Nokia which are giving their loyal customer base basically 2 year old tech and castrating them from using the full potential that the hardware can provide.
The middle ground is LG, Sony and HTC all other players are just that playing with themselves thinking they can compete against a giant in the form of Samsung.
Maybe LG as they are the same countries but all other brands are kidding if they think they can match Samsung (although in HD TV LG is a better buy).
On the SGS3 if Eldar can be trusted then simply they only way for Alpple To compete is too open up iOS 6 to the same levels and (finally) give their logal consumer base a devcie free of iTunes and much better multi-tasking + larger screen otherwise whats the point of buying a crappg iPhone again?
Nokia = great hardware but silly ideas like dumping MeeGo for rubbish WP7.5
LG = wild ideas but lack of quality (mobiles)
HTC = middle ground let down buy poor hardware like radio for 3G/WiFi
Sony = meh nothing special
Apple = pathetic really without the brainwashing marketing who would buy such utter rubbish
Samsung = listening to what the consumer market wants.
Microplex
well done samsung they just took the rule book and just riped it apart. is it rly possible to improve on perfection(gs2).
Anonymous, 24 Jan 2012Please look at nokia's numbers. There sales have been going way down and Samsung is sky rocket... moreHey! You better not compare Nokia's sales since the XpressMusic 5800 period with the Lumia sales now if I were you dude.
Almost all of us whether Nokia users or fomerly are know that their mobile phone sales are flopping because of the MeeGo discontinuation after the N9.
But hey! Nokia got Windows Phone instead and they even asked Microsoft to give them free creative control over the OS, giving Nokia a new headstart to be the leading mobile brand again.
