honestly, I am sorry for Nokia... what has it been? and what became of it now... Dispose of crappy windows 7.5 phones , go on MeeGo , or recreate Symbian!!! Android and IOS are copycats of each other, whether Symbian had/has (still) great potential... get lost Elop! Nokia researchers, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease do something for the rebirth of Symbian!

What they didn't mention is that The lumia phones haven't been released in the north american Market as of yet - and the north american market is the LARGEST phone market!

So there's no question about if this was a smart move or not. The fact is, microsoft is the only company that is thinking beyond just phones and tablets (unlike google who has stated multiple times that they are sticking to one market) where as apple and microsoft are looking to integrate multiple products in a product society.

GSMArena you should clarify the mobiles division of Nokia actually pretty much broke even. The entire loss is due to their services and mapping divisions!

You should probably also state the Lumias sold 1+ million in just 6 markets with limited availability.. and didn't include the 2 biggest markets of China and USA.

Just numbers without facts means fanbois can twist a story. Wait for the countless comparisons here to iPhone and Android, which are just not fair or reasonable!

Its not brilliant but a step in the right direction. I still think that the N9 should have been given a world wide release. It would have been interesting to see what impact it could have had on the market... if any
