If you buy from a reseller from your country (EU) you will have to pay taxes like VAT and others plus a profit for the reseler.
So the final price is a little bit higher. But you suposebly have a warranty from that reseler.

Anonymous, 24 May 2019Be sure that on EU it will cost 50 to 100 euros more. I saw that in the models previosly released I see Mi 9 on Aliexpress or gearbest with the same price i can buy it locally in EU. So i dont see this 50-100 your talking about. Maybe at first month or two cause they dont have so much units but thats about it
Anonymous, 24 May 2019Be sure that on EU it will cost 50 to 100 euros more. I saw that in the models previosly released All the phones are always more expensive in europe

I saw that in the models previosly released Yep, that is. It makes sense, sadly. Redmi was always and is a phone plenty of features with a good battery and price. If they remove features and the priced is in the Mi level... then those are no more Redmi phones instead of MI phones. So they'll rename it for Europe and globally as Mi ones, more expensive with less features.
It's true that Redmi is now a Xiaomi sub-brand but they have no margin price. Which smells a bit badly as they could decide to increase Xiaomi prices to higher level and make room for more expensive Redmi phones globally... So the next Huawei alias new Xiaomi/Redmi could be upcoming.....

Pick a dang name. Too many phones nowadays having different names for different countries for no good reason. If it's the exact same phone, it should have the exact same name. Common sense really
Im from Poland. This site is not a realiable source. Also Mi 9 is always out of stock since launch day. And Redmi smartphones are widely avaible here do I see no point on selling it as Xiaomi.
I don't believe it. Its not like they consider Poland to be to rich to have their cheap phones available, so they decided to release it as mi so they can have high price. Because we have (here in Poland) even redmi go. And they don't consider redmi brand unknown in Poland, because their official store in Poland website have phones divided into mis and redmis. So there is no reason for them to release it in Poland under mi9T and mi9T pro names.
