There is truth there. Think about it. If this year they really think of putting quad-cores in smartphones then in 2013 they will have 8 cores??? No. Maybe this year pass the 2ghz threshold and in 2013 the 3ghz.

When it comes to multicore CPUs, I prefer higher clock speed over number of cores. Current software are still not able to take advantage of multicore CPUs that has cores more than two.

Hope i see this dual core in the next galaxy. Quadcores are not meant to be on smartphones. They are to powerhungry. And i doubt, that a quadcore A9 is that much faster than a dualcore A15.

Was hoping for quad core. If Samsung is relegates themselves to only dual core, then things may not go too well for them this year and ever after. This year is very crucial and Samsung has to get it right and quickly too.

soo sgs 3 will come out in q4 or late q3 then but if they use this cpu
chip comes out in q2
late q2 tablet will use it
q3 making the cpu use less TDP and optimizing it
late q3 putting phone in mass production and
q4 phone avilable
ill wait for the samsung galaxy s 4 and wont be buying the next iphone 5 =)
happy with my 4s its fast enough and no lag in any applications.

I really wanted to see this next SoC Galaxy S III for sure I would buy it, I prefer the Dual Cortex A15, A9 than the Quad. I really hope that Samsung considers the Galaxy S III, I'd be very happy with it! long live the Galaxy S!
