Bada 1.2 has a prettier UI than 2.0 at certain places.... Update anyway sux... nothing that cool about it... already tried xxla1... back to 1.2... 1.2 looks way better and is thousand times faster and battery life sux big time on 2.0...

I'm from Australia and waiting for the XEU version because that's the one that my 1.2 firmware is with. I've waited so long for this and was borderline getting a new phone. THANK YOU Bada!

My last Samsung phone! Disgusting support, wait alomst one year to update, after 3 fake dates , middle 2011, september, december, now almoste february.
No Skype, my speakerphone died , laggy 2.0! (when unlock,BIG LAG) my firmwere is LEAGAL and official.
Bye bye Samsung - FOREVER!

sold s8500 last month but before that i flashed it into bada 2.0...pretty good rom i must say but its time to move on to a new ecosystem that is android.

Did you know that bada 2.0 downsize processor speed to 800 Mhz?!?! On bada 1.2 was 1GHz... You can change it in service setup but I dont understand why samsung did such stupid thing? Probably v2.0 eats battery life so they cut processor speed...
I was (and other ppl) awaiting v2.0 so long and all I want now is to rollover somehow to v1.2!!!

I already installed one of the beta firmwares. It's pretty good, and i wonder why samsung hasn't release the official FW. Because the beta even working smooth, fine and w/o any problem on my original wave (8500).

In Poland official relese came few weeks ago.
My feelings? I don't like it. Ringtones aren't always working. You can't even set a rongtone&wibration profile /so you can't have only ringtone and then turn the voice off and have only wibration, you can only have ring+wibr and then turn off ring and have wibr only/
There is still problem with alarm /sometime the firs one automatickly turn itself into sleep without ringing!?/
And there is a battery life problem. Battery life is definitly shorter than in 1.2
Next problem, there is only a few apps for 2.0
And for me the greatest bug, the sms keabord is now smaller it is very hard to type if you have bigger palms.
In plus - new web browser, better than last one;)
And the back key in all menu's

Samsung will replace Bada with Tizen, an OS created by Intel and Samsung dev-team, so no wonder Bada will not getting update again soon.

didn't you see the tizen news?I'm aware of that, but Samsung have not officially committed one way or the other.
Nobody knows if they will combine to 2 system, scrap one or come up with a totally new platform.
The idea of the rumor mill sometimes is to gauge the feedback of such statements.
Having said that, Samsung's repeated ignoring of customer complaints & wishes (in my opinion), might suggest they will just do what ever they want to generate some short term cash flow.
The carrot and donkey philosophy only works once for those who have already been bitten!

i don't need that BADA 2.0 fw update... already sold my S8500 last month... looking forward for android phone - not from samsung anymore... BADA OS >> BAD OS!!!!
