Anonymous321, 04 Jun 2019Damn, I was waiting for mouse support for iPad to get an iPad pro, I guess I have to skip iPad... moreTrue but this software change is a welcome change as well and i think if they keep it up Ipad might actually become a true laptop replacement. Now they also need to reduce it's dependency on itunes and give Ipad cases a proper trackpad like on Surface
Damn, I was waiting for mouse support for iPad to get an iPad pro, I guess I have to skip iPad then..
Apple's software is always amazing and the continuity across devices, but the price always deter me from ever dipping my toes in iOS
Still contemplating BT mouse compatibility while Android had it even in 2009!! All these expensive iToys have better and far cheaper alternatives, thankfully!! Oh NO NO...it is ecosystem ....yea heard enough bs on the ecosystem, privacy, security....to toss up $1000-$2000 a device from the fruit company for so behind rest of the tech world!
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2019Lol who cares about Windows programs. Already do most of what I wanted in iPad, only lacked so... moreYou know Windows is supported in arrays of brands worldwide from the cheapest to most expensive. 80% of the computer OS in the world is Windows. Apple offers some great computer hardware options, but the selection is dwarfed by the massive availability of a diverse array of Windows PCs.
Components things like the CPU, graphics card, and storage there is no contest. Windows gives you a lot more leeway in configuring a system with the components you want, and more flexibility to upgrade later.
Fyi, gamers couldn't even look at macOS or iPad for gaming. iPad is just a baby in that area. When it comes to game selection, there are many more top-level titles on Steam that are compatible with Windows than macOS. Even PlayStation games are available on Windows through Sony PlayStation Now service, and you can stream games to your PC through the Xbox app. Microsoft dying? Who do you think supporting the gaming community? Apple? Lol.
Still think iPad or MacOS superior? You delusional.
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2019I have tons of programs that i NEED to use that are only on Windows, so i can't change to an d... moreThat's totally fine. I never said that the iPad will completely replace a (capable) Windows machine. Just that, for almost all of the everyday things, including office work, music playback, internet browsing, even photo editing and light video editing, the iPad is much better and much more efficient.
Now it look like Android tablet with gimmicky (iso users said) widgets :)
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2019I have tons of programs that i NEED to use that are only on Windows, so i can't change to an d... moreThat's the thing. You may not be the target audience for the iPad but there are several thousands, if not millions, who would be perfectly fine with the iPad (mostly, the Pro line) as their main computer, especially after this update.
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2019Honestly, depends on what kind programs you use on Windows. For me, everything has an iOS app... moreI have tons of programs that i NEED to use that are only on Windows, so i can't change to an different OS because i don't have my usual programs and customization.
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2019Lol who cares about Windows programs. Already do most of what I wanted in iPad, only lacked so... moreDon't forget that, for the price of a low end, shoddy built laptop, you're getting a proper tablet with a great build, screen, and audio quality.
asiandoestech, 03 Jun 2019They're also very fragile.Always have them in case. Never had one break on me in 8 years of owning me. If anything I had more laptops malfunction due to dust collection and overheating than any iPad ... bending on me.
It is mostly propaganda, those are pro tools, you are supposed to treats them with some care. Same cannot be said about laptops, even if when I treated them with care they would still die on me (some of them did anyway).
All in all iPads are way more resilient compared to what they slowly replace in my life (I.e. laptops). Of course they can become even better, but ... "One step at a time" I guess...
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2019Is it me or does this look like a refined maemo os.Sort of.
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2019Honestly, depends on what kind programs you use on Windows. For me, everything has an iOS app... more Windows 10 is great and becoming better and better. Blind fanboy it is real OS for real users.
Anonymous, 03 Jun 2019Yeah, looks like they do have a file system, but i wonder if it can run native Windows program... moreLol who cares about Windows programs. Already do most of what I wanted in iPad, only lacked some OS features that are finally here. In the medium term only idiots should stay in Windows, Microsoft is in trouble. I mean iPads are cheaper from a similar specced windows PC, they will soon do more (both laptop and tablet stuff) and will be supported for at least 5-7 years. Microsoft can finally start dying...

For me, everything has an iOS app that's at least as good if not better than Windows counterparts when it comes to ease of use:
Photo editing - Snapseed
Video editing - iMovie
Music - that one Japanese player that's pretty good
Office - Word, Powerpoint etc are fully working
I'd much rather get an iPad and at least be able to use it properly than get a Windows 10 laptop. Because Jesus, Windows 10 is horrible.
