IPS LCD means shitty contrast and s... moreLol, IPS is the only panel used in profesional work dealing with accurate colors and editing movies, there is no other panel used in professional editing work, why? Because it is best panel for this kind of work. Contrast it is definitely not an issue here :)

Plus it's custom made, all designed from the grounds up, so the price is fair.
It's actually great that they sell the monitor without a stand, as most buyers won't need it anyway.
Just like I wish I could buy a new phone without a new charging adapter and without new headphones for it. I already have those and I don't want to pay for another set of them with each new device I buy.

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2019Alot of desktops have 4 rtx titan gpus, those have 24gb of vram each, those still are at the top. 24gb vram rtx titans are not as powerful as 32gb vram 14tflop fp32 performance, you're kidding yourself. even quadros can't match it. the only downside of the system is the intel cpu and the ridiculous price.

The GPU core is the same, sure, however professional video cards are not for playing games, and actually often don't work that well for gaming. Exactly the opposite goes for Photo/Video/Design/Mechanics/Optics/Physics/etc production software - most of it will refuse to turn on full GPU decoding unless it detects a proper professional graphics solution.

To everyone commenting about them having 1080Ti's and the like, this device isn't for you.
An Nvidia Quadro 8000 is $6k as an example. There's a ton of production stuff that you can do with a Quadro or a Fire Pro / Vega Pro, that you cannot with a typical graphics card. Solidworks comes to mind... It also has a Xeon CPU onboard. This is closer to being a server, rather than a typical gaming PC that most of you are commenting about.
Yes it is expensive, yes it is not entirely worth the price. Yes, you can assemble one yourself, and it would be marginally cheaper, but not by much.
Personally, i'd prefer an AMD Threadripper or Epyc compatible option. This way one would not be limited to Intel's crazy expensive 28 core Xeon.
What really ticked me off was a $1000 monitor stand and a $200 VESA mount. Seriously, why??? Because it is made of Aluminum, which incidentally starts with letter A, just like Apple brand name?!?
