Why this page has so much stuff from 3 network>>c'mon at the end of the day you need a good network to make a plan work. 3 has cheap plans because the network is cheap as well[excluding few areas]. When we are in 20th century what are you going to do with unlimited internet on 3 ..when you can barely use it lol

djrsm, 31 Jan 2012Who really needs unlimited internet anyway? Most people have internet at home. T-Mobile's new ... moreWell most people with smarthphones do!!! & again we all know that we are not the cavemen anymore so in every household you will find a dongle. This is for people on the go & again thats the whole reason why there are different tariffs & packages to offer more options!! Going by your logic there would be only a couple of packages which more or less would be uniform.
So do your due diligence before you post such troll!!

YES the network CAN see if you are using your unlimited internet tarrif for Tethering, YES they can put your sim on HOLD, and only on HOLD and give you a little slap on the wrists. The networks have whats called a automated 'Tracker Notifier' system, which basicly scans tarrifs and shows any abnormal usage on accounts, whats purposes are not to 'catch' you out putting your sim in a dongle but its for them to offer great customer services for a customer who is paying a great amount for a tarrif that he doesnt use, the network will contact the customer and say that he can switch to a lower service plan and save money, based on the info that the Tracker Notifier has pulled back.
Using signifficantly more of one half of your tarrif (internet) but not the other (minutes and texts)...it will flag up.
Dont worry about it, just put it in your phone and teather it but make sure you still use calls and texts, try not to purchase a sim with an unlimited tarrif but its sole purpase is for use in a dongle.
Most of the time...9 times out of 10 the network will not know, but for the unlucky 1...well...you know...*SLAP*!
