When did Sony ever confirm this was due for release on 13th February... correct me if I speak out of turn, but why would people beleive what a third party site like Play.com communicates?

Again, most of the leaked devices which were tested already are going to have GB...I really don't know why but it's just stupid to be honest.
Well Sony is upgrading all their 2011 Xperias in March/April/May so hopefully the new devices will have ICS...

Please...all the r... moreWidely reported that all of their flagships (presumably being shown at MWC) will come with ICS out of the box - GS3 already confirmed, HTC Edge (and Zeta?) as well as LG X3, all confirmed...
I don't think any at CES would have confirmed ICS - because it's not really the place for showing off the 'flagship' mobiles - here's hoping that Sony's new flagship has ICS, there's absolutely no reason it shouldn't.. just like all of the others should have it too (I'm hoping that the Sony 'Atlas' is the long-time-coming Play 2 - I'm in if so!!)

Please...all the real android devices released in CES were Gingerbread ones. Sammy, Moto, and LG released GB devices and not ICS so don't blame Sony.
Also, even the new Galaxy S Advance will have GB so there is a small chance we will see ICS in MWC.

Maybe this phone has been in production for some time, but to be honest, all phones released in 2012 should come with ICS out of the box...
The dangers of updating a few months later are the inevitable bugs / crashes / delays with the software and all the pain that comes with it...
I think all Sony's should come with ICS out of box, like HTC, like Moto and like Sammy...
There's simply no reason not to...even LG are!

To be honest, this should be delayed to coincide with all the publicity it'll get from the MWC at the end of Feb...
Unless of course they want it out beforehand so that the 'big guns' (presumably Hayabusa / Mint) don't overshadow its release..
Either way it's a very competent mid-range phone...
Let's hope Sony's unrevealed 'flagship' has an external storage card or it's game over for them...

Just to put the record striaght! The phone has not been delayed. It has always been set for an early March release. The only website that had a January release was Play.com. This was a marketing ploy to get preorders in. They will eventually put back their date to a March release. So this has nothing to do with Sony. Lets just wait til March and then make judgement...
