Hi all, I am new to this and you can laugh at me, but actually I know very little about smartphones. (at least about software). Now, since I have Xiaomi Mi5 S for about 3 years, i noticed it is a time to change and obviously the Mi 9T Pro got my attention. Ofc it is not available in Europe, but I can get the Redmi K 20 Pro via all Geekbuying or AliExpress and what have you. My point is that I absolutely despise notches and I have to have 3,5 jack. Now, can anyone tell me WHAT is the difference between version bought out of China and those released in Europe? (except of the warranty period, of course)? Will Redmi K 20 Pro WORK in Europe? I read about bandwidths and networks differences, but heck, I know nothing about those. Also, the Asian stores advise there is no Google services or Play Store installed and only Chinese version is there, so how come my MI5 S had it all in English? Have they changed anything? As much as I am happy with English, I won't be able to make anything out of Chinese. (also, why won't they release those in EU at the same time, what is the point? Don't they want European customers money?) Last but not least: is there any serious difference between Mi 9 T and Mi 0 T Pro? I do not play games on my phone, but I wish I could watch Netflix and YT with decent quality...
Thanks for any advice!
wowoman, 13 Jun 2019The normal version in Europe is more expensive than the pro version in AsiaTaxes!
Anonymous, 12 Jun 2019When it will be in middle east and africa? It depends on Xiaomi's priorities. If they value ME&A markets lower than their EU counterparts, you may have to be very patient. Or place an order in China.
One thing is sure: Mi9T/Pro supplies will be insufficient. Demand will be high, supply - not enough. "Old" Mi9 was virtually unavailable in many EU countries for months. Now situation is significantly better, but it took some time. I expect the same in Mi9T/Pro cases.
tom64, 11 Jun 2019price at belsimpel.nl for a black 64 gb mi 9t pro is € 364I think it was a mistake. The price was there, but now disappeared. I don't believe, that Pro version will be so cheap in Europe.
chrisggmu98, 11 Jun 2019Mate, at least you don't live in UK. £500 for the MI 9 which is 562 euros (just for the ... moreThat is really high price. We will see tomorrow. But i will definitely not buy phone from other than official shops in my country (yes, because of two year warranty).
Anyway, if the price will be higher than my expectation, my next phone will be Note 9.
Radim, 11 Jun 2019OK. I think, thas Exynos 9810 has enough power to run everything smoothly - for just now. For ... moreMate, at least you don't live in UK. £500 for the MI 9 which is 562 euros (just for the 6GB and 646GB, because that's all UK is selling) and £350 for MI 9 SE 6G/64GB ram which is 393 euros or £400 for the 6G/128GB which is 450 euros. I'm actually fearing the price of the MI9T Pro (that's even if gets a release) because UK price bumps are seriously bad. This is why I hope my good friends over at Gearbest, tobydeals, eglobal and banggood have some good prices. Fair enough I understand I'll miss out on the official 2 years Xiaomi warranty because I'll be purchasing it through a grey market, but I'll be saving a quite a lot of money. I just hope the event tomorrow wows me because Gearbest has a mid-year sale event, where u can get the Zenfone 6 for £424
Radim, 11 Jun 2019OK. I think, thas Exynos 9810 has enough power to run everything smoothly - for just now. For ... moreWow, that pricing is absolutely insane. I'm hoping for a price less than that for the Mi 9T Pro here. I really feel bad for you. :(
So I was expecting that 8GB/128GB version of Mi 9T Pro (RedmiK20/PocophoneF2pro) to be around 365EUR as per official price in China? Am I deluded to think this will happen?
I have a broken phone and the only reason why I'm waiting this phone is due to "bang for buck" deal it offers but looking at many posts it seems I'm delusional this will happen. The price in Serbia for Pocophone F1 is about 275EUR (possibly with no Tax in it > I assume gray market). Given that the official price in China for 8GB/128GB is CNY2,799 (around 360EUR) I was hoping that it will be around that for Serbia as well (even less given the "no Tax/Gray Market" options). Any opinions (please only argument/sensible ones as I'm really in need of a phone and want to make a wise choice - money is scarce to put it in simple terms).

viano, 11 Jun 2019No, we do not like Samsung and even less Exynos SoCs.
Why buying last years tech ??
when ... moreOK. I think, thas Exynos 9810 has enough power to run everything smoothly - for just now. For someone could be IP68, OIS or AMOLED real dealbreaker (this is also my answer to ASUS Zenfone 6).
Back to Xiaomi MI 9T. In my country is this phone available for 468 EUR, while Xiaomi MI 9 for 428 EUR (both official ditribution and 6/64 versions). 9T Pro version will be much expensive. I wrote this in another forum, MI 9T Pro could by the flagship killer, but it depends on destination market and price settings. But it will not be in my country, sadly.
Anonymous, 11 Jun 2019No, it's not a grey market, here's the link: https://proline.pl/smartfon-xiaomi-mi-9t-6-64gb-c... moreVery expensive, then. I wonder whether it's really official price for Polish market (would be strange, 'cos price for other EU markets seem to be much lower) or it's this particular shop's idea to lure some Xiaomi fans into overpriced purchase. Some people simply are ready to pay premium just to be among the first owners of an item.
Szczebrzeszyn, 11 Jun 2019It has to be grey import price. Simply 'cos those devices still wait for their official debut ... moreNo, it's not a grey market, here's the link: https://proline.pl/smartfon-xiaomi-mi-9t-6-64gb-carbon-black-polska-dystrybucja-p1361289
It's a normal shop which offers official distribution. The price is 1.799,00 PLN (around 422 euros).
Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro listed ... (listed w/o price) lol
just a cheap ad by Belsimpel.
De verwachte verkoopprijs is op dit moment nog niet bekend.

Stuur me een e-mail zodra deze telefoon verkrijgbaar is:

and GSMA supporting that trick as well :(
Radim, 10 Jun 2019Exactly! How much will be the Pro version then? I was waiting for this phone, but maybe better... moreNo, we do not like Samsung and even less Exynos SoCs.
Why buying last years tech ??
when there are up to date (and "defy ordinary") phones with SD855 and Co.
at similar prices.
Check ASUS Zenfone 6!
( US version already listed at B+H Photo ...)
eternal, 11 Jun 2019In Bulgaria Xiaomi Mi 9T (non Pro) is listed for 350€. Cheapest Mi 9 is currently at 420€. I... moreMi9T has certain disadvantages in comparison to Mi9: weaker SoC (SD730 vs SD855), worse kind screen (AMOLED vs SuperAMOLED), so the higher price for Mi9 may be justified for some.
Mi9T Pro is - spec-wise - clearly superior to Mi9. The same SoC and display kind, better battery, better connectivity. If Mi9T Pro will be priced similarly to Mi9, the sales of the latter will drop to zero. Somehow I doubt that Xiaomi is going to kill Mi9 so soon after its debut.
