me, 01 Feb 2012It was very easy to make this phone very good. Simply by adding DUAL SIM feature and a larger... moreWhy? Because SGS3 will cost more than this phone. So someone with not much budget in their but want a decent smartphone, they can look forward to this phone. Not everyone willing to spent alot for a phone.

Lego Builder, 01 Feb 2012too expensive and the specs are not worth it :|. fail.Yep, and its barely distinct from other Galaxy variants.
I'm not a fan of amoled screens, they are overly rich in colour and are prone to fast deterioration. Why manufacturers don't stick with the superior (IMO) ips screens is beyond me.

Waiting for the Sony phones to be announced at MWC though. There might be an 3.8-incher somewhere.

We just have to focus on the article. With the Philippines being mentioned, it means that (probably) the APAC market is the target for this recently announced phone.

nice to see this new phone hits philippines, caus there are a lot of phone users here,, any way upon looking on the specs, it makes me conclude to order the xperia s rather than this one as they have the almost the same specs plus it looks good more than this galaxy s, and cheaper price too

Philippines is never a reliable basis for price. Manufacturers tend to overprice anything here. A lot of Filipinos who work/visit abroad purchase their electronics outside. There is a gray market locally that reflects the real prices more accurately. In reaction, manufacturers scare consumers about warranty concerns.

If my eyes do not deceive me, Samsung is going to release Galaxy Tab 7.7 on February 4, 2012 here in the Philippines. The teaser ad has been all over the news for three days now.

Samsung are you insane?? a hefty price for a cheap phone?? there other phones and even N9 is better than this... expect this price will go down in few weeks and months... a cheap phone and an immature OS, power hungry and laggy. waste of money
