Androi=lag os, 04 Feb 2012More applications then more crashes, it is obvious.Ah... actually it is completely not obvious, because I guess they didnt test every app on the market^^
And actually App Store apps are supposed to be tested by Apple, before they reach the market.
More crashes, even if it is just one device running those apps... so much to androids BIG fragmentationproblem, or not? Any iFan wanna comment on this?
AnonD-40902, 04 Feb 2012is there any lagg in android OS? i'm supposed to buy one. so, will i choose android??depends on which spec of phone and obviously the version of os. if you want something easy then go for a Samsung although it is very heavily skinned so of want something closer to android version go for SE or Motorola
AnonD-4697, 03 Feb 2012LoL I don't know but now my Android is crashing more than ever, even in the middle of the call... moreI think you're the boy with the red hat whom is a troll and comes on here pretending to own a android device! Just admit you have been caught and you're phone sucks!
is there any lagg in android OS? i'm supposed to buy one. so, will i choose android??
iOS suck!, games and apps are constantly crashing on Apple's junky iOS, not to mention the need of "Jail-breaking" to install apps from another source, while from the other hand Android is a superior OS based on that successful Linux were you got a fantastic OS open to amazing developments were the phone or tablet seems not to have limits at all on what it can do, great apps and games from your computer can be ported to Android, installation of apps from any source is possible on Android without you to modify anything, Android also gets the best and most complete interface of all mobile devices, and Android is the OS with the most activations per day around the world.
So feeling like Apple is trying to hard enough and not getting successful?
Switch to Android!
Long life for Android!
Omg... It was so clear, that iFans will say, their phone never crashed before... I dont own an iPhone, but I used it a lot and even there I got more than enough crashes. Why this is a problem for me? Because iFans always say how bad Android is, if it comes to stability and that iOS doesnt crash, but I know for sure it does and if people are so blinded to think, just because the OS doesnt give me an ERROR message, then there is no error, than maybe you should never go to a doctor and let your lungcancer silently grow bigger, because it is not there, you know, becauce I never felt anything and till now I didnt lose conciousness.
What I am trying to say, crashes are there really often, but if it brings you just to your homescreen and no error message pops up, than I think it is no crash and I simply restart the app. No crashes here, no?
Android is much worse, because you know when something happens... Thats a bad thing, right?
I dont wanna count up, how often the iPad of my dad or the iPhone of my brother crashed in the browser, pdf reader or app store... My SGS2 crashed also at some point, for example sometimes a do something with heavy flash use, but at least I can use that.
Both OS crash more often than anyone of us want, but the one tells you it does and the other one hides it and blinds you that way, like it doesnt.
My big problem here is simply, iOS fans always act like iOS is PERFECT, even if that is impossible (but apple does the impossible, right?). Always acting like Apple releases complete stable stuff, like hell, those stats and reasons mentioned why iOS crashes more often actually prove only, that apple also releases a beta version instead of a stable one and fixes all afterwards... Android users never claim such impossible stuff, but mostly because Androidians are more techy and just know tech well enough to know, that EVERYTHING can crash ones in a while and some Apple users still seem to think apple has some kind of magic, which makes it better and unable to crash and even the hardware is better, than the hardware produced by the same manufacturer, but for their own phones and not the iPhone...
People get real, I know it sounded like I want to bash the iPhone, but really, I dont, I like it too, but people have to get real here and stop this apple magic BS!
Anonymous, 03 Feb 2012these two will continue to fight each other while windows might sneak under the radar and catc... moreWindows is not going to do anything to catch Android, nor will they manage the brainwashing based marketing that apple appear to have mastered.
Windows whilst a great mobile operating system for many functions such as web browsing, e-mail and use as an mp3 player etc. falls farshort of what android offers.
Apps on Adroid are by and large free, which is certainly not the case on Windows where not only are the overwhelming majority of apps chargeable, theyre also more expensive than their chargeable equivalents on Android or iOS.
On top of that android offers Free music, whereas Windows only offers chargeable music through Zune, although it seems slightly cheaper than iTunes.
Android also offers Flash support which is so frustratingly absent in both iOS and Windows and really hampers the browsing experience, creating hassle out of simply wanting to view a imbedded video.
And the reliability and User friendly nature of Android really give it a huge edge, as windows is not particularly maliable in terms of how is set up.
I enjoy using the Windows platform, but i find it incredibly unlikely that Windows will catch up with the Big 2 in terms of OS any time soon, the association with Nokia will certainly boost market share, particularly among brand loyal upgraders, but i think it still has a long way to go to create anything resembling a 3 horse race.
Unfortunately, iOS has more apps available than Android's. That is the MAIN reason why iOS is getting bigger percentage of crash rate. But the truth is, Android apps crash more often if both platforms has the same number of apps available on their respective app stores.
This title should have been "iOS apps cash in more often than Android apps"
My iPhone 4S on the latest update is way more stable than my four android phones including Galaxy S2.
Finally some truth!!!! Now lets have Google advertise this and claim that this is the best os ever!! aka Apple style!
Anonymous, 03 Feb 2012iPhone 4s apps never crash Yes, the apps never crash, only the phone crashes..
I use androids, i got some crashes, because I kept many live widgets and 5 or more apps running simultaneously.. But seldom with my gf's iphone, why? Because she always closes all the background apps, running with only 1 app.. She knows very well, being an apple big fan, that if she let's 3 or more apps running, the phone's going to the drainage..
I agree iOS does crashes but who cares it only takes half a second to reopen it.
And ios 3.1.3 crashes more than 4.2.1.
at the end of the day after having many problem iPhone is still the best , secure phone
Interesting article, however flawed it might be. My Galaxy Tab 10.1 crashes continuously in several apps which I SHOULD but WON'T remove. the annoyingness vs how much I love these particular apps = apps win. however these apps when they crash give the option to force close & send report or dont send report. I have never once sent report because it takes time & my data download. I know many other ppl who do the same thing.
My iPhone 4s does crash occasionally, however as pointed out it sends report automatically & does not inform user that an error has occurred, just returns to home screen. I wasn't even aware until reading this that this meant it had crashed- I always thought it was something I had done.
Realistically Apple should give notices to users informing them that a crash has occurred. Android should auto send reports so 'analysis' and 'data research' such as this would be accurate. And fanboy trolls should find a new hobby :)
