Come on Elop, not again! I wonder if this guy even knows about sales and marketing at all.
Before the launch of the N9, he announced the death of Meego and it will be the last Meego device.
Now before even the announcement of the N8 successor, Nokia declares the death of Symbian and it will be the last of Symbian device.
How is he even going to convince anyone to buy the device? I can imagine the sales pitch being like 'Hey dude, choose this N8v2 over the very popular and alive OSes such as iOS and Android and over Windows Phone (which we will be putting all our resources into). Buy this Symbian based phone and by the way, we will be discontinuing Symbian and leaving it to rot. Be assured no developers will build any new apps on it and no new features will be added... Hell, who needs apps? We've loaded the Snake game for you :D. Look around you man, everyone is carrying either an iPhone or Android phone and maybe you will find a hand full of people carrying the Windows Phone. But YOU, you are unique, you will be the only one in your entire... country carrying the N8v2. So what say you? It is only $200 more expensive than the iPhone :D'

ST Ericsson is supposed to be supplying a major part of Symbian Phones right? What part is that?

Time for Nokia has been Over !
i bought 2 pieces of X2-02.
It's not symbian but It's very unstable product from nokia.
It hangs and Restart very frequently.
When you insert SIM2 its switches itself to P1 from P3 speed.
i used Samsung C3322.. quite similar range but very stable product from Samsung.

I think that the term ”end of symbian” is wrong. If that is so, what will happen to the nokia non smart phones. Will they run windows¿! May be only the smartphones will be deprived of symbian. I , personally want symbian to stay cause i am a symbian fan.

i'm so disapointed when nokia leave symbian and meego just for WP7. WP7 maybe Smooth but the UI interface's realy make boring, i can't undestand why Nokia not using Android? What's wrong on Android Nokia? But never say never i still hope nokia will be use Droid soon :)
