AnonD-41663, 10 Feb 2012nokia + android = ultimate :) :) that would be great :Dno... Nokia + Meego + Android apps = Perfect Phone
nokia = good processor, android = good ui and features
no no no.that was just a theme. .i've ever seen nokia 5800 runing android donut, but it is still symbian.
Anonymous, 10 Feb 2012just try meego and you will forget android...
except you need 500.000 apps in your phone..!?Why can't you get in your thick skull that you actually can run Adroid apps in a MeeGo phone with at least the same performance as on an Android device? There is the Myriad Alien Dalvik engine that makes all of this possible.
The difference between Android and MeeGo is that you have a better ecosystem for developing low-level apps on the device than Android. This ecosystem is called Qt which actually compiles the code to binary and is also available for Linux, Solaris, BSD and windows. That way way it is easy to achieve cross-platform capabilities without the loss of performance you have in virtual-machine applications such as Dalvik and Java.
if nokia opted to use android i would have bought two already because my first device under the android banner was Xperia x10, and now i am using the Sammy Galaxy S2... this would have been ultimate
AnonD-41663, 10 Feb 2012nokia + android = ultimate :) :) that would be great :DAgreed, Sir! :D
I'm love meego/meamo developer n user community. We are like one big family. If we have some issue regarding to our device others will help us.
Mr Alexey Roslyakov, give space to micro sd card, Nokia N9 with Carl Zeiss lens, micro sd slot and Android ice cream its amazing phone.
yeah...sounds very good. At last, Nokia is getting more advance and further ahead competing with others...i've been waiting so long time to see Nokia to get an Android in its device...i like it..:), i feel impatient to have one!!....
AnonD-16342, 09 Feb 2012the N9 is not for hipsters (which US is full of nowadays) or practical people.... it is for pu... moreNo, the N9 is absolutely for Hipsters...
"MeeGo? It's a pretty obscure OS, you probably haven't heard of it..."
no piont.if i want an android phone i buy galaxy s2.motorola razor.htc sensation.galaxy note.galaxy nexus etc not this phone with outdated hardware but some nokia fans maybe go for this.
Knight, 09 Feb 2012probably gonna get an N9 when/if this port becomes available and stable , Nokia's biggest mist... morejust try meego and you will forget android...

i wonder who bought this phone, i have my good ol desire hd and i wont exchange it even on a 100 unit of that nokia n9.
You can port android? OMG :o and whats the point porting spec hungry OS to mid spec phone ? Whats the point of having win7 on pc with 1gb of ram :| it will run so SLOWLY ...
willstay, 09 Feb 2012What about that another one million apps? Even in Android I keep waiting for app of my choice ... morethe N9 is not for hipsters (which US is full of nowadays) or practical people.... it is for purists.....and they dont need 1 million apps...the basics are covered and you can spend 2-3 years with that perfectly well....
i think i'm in love
probably gonna get an N9 when/if this port becomes available and stable , Nokia's biggest mistake was that they didn't choose Android as their primary OS , WP7 is so far behind the mighty DROID in terms of hardware , performance and user experience
