Mobile StrongBOX, 09 Feb 2012Please dont destroy that beauty design with Android OS!! The N9 was specialy build for MeeGo/H... moreWhat about that another one million apps? Even in Android I keep waiting for app of my choice appearing (like Onenote). In Meego, there is no horizon to even wish for.
THAT IS AWESOME. If this port works flawlessly, I can think of N9 as second pet to my another awesome GNote :)
Anonymous, 09 Feb 2012I'll be fine with this just so I can use an App not available on N9. Darn this tech racism ... moreI hear ya man, they are just phones we should be more united regardless of what phone or OS we choose. Android on n9 would be awesome for sure though
Wow i hope they release this! Where do I donate for development!!!
I bought the n9 for the amazing design but i need my android functionality, USA owner
Perfect combination! I would buy a nokia with w7 or meego knowing that I can put Android, otherwise not a chance! If nokia is smart they can develop backside android laboratories under certain nicknames on xda ,will increase market share....
If Nokia had chosen to offer Android phones instead of rubbish WP then they'd actually stand a chances of still being around in a few years.

Darn this tech racism promoted by US.
if its dual boot its okay but else, removing meego and putting ics is a big no no.android stand no chance to meego harmatan
Now thats a nice 'crossbreed' (yeah im a car guy)
Combine the good aspects of each device and you get a PROPERLY built phone running a PROPER OS...You can love it or hate it, fanboys and purists will opt the latter but the open minded should see the potential of that install.
If ICS is able to solve at least 50% of the issues with Android core, then why not????
Bring it on....will get one
Please dont destroy that beauty design with Android OS!! The N9 was specialy build for MeeGo/Harmattan platform!! I have N9 and don't complain about future of OS: it just works out of the box, I have skype, facebook, Yahoo Messenger, Flickr, twiter and others BUILD INTO THE SYSTEM, not as separate apps, THAT's REALY COOL!! And even Nokia will support it until at least 2016, not to mention the community!
Mustafa, 09 Feb 2012I personally like Meego better than Android. I've owned a few Android phones and love my N9. I... moreI do not own the N9 but wish i did! im a long time N900 user tho and i dont understand y so many ppl are surprised by this?? the N900 cud duelboot with Nitdroid yrs ago! so since MeeGo is an avanced Maemo OS it would make sense,
Also in regards to your post im not sure if you are a N9 user because you can easily overclock ur processor by flashing the kernal.
Now dats why I call smart move !!!...nice works u developer...Nokia+Android= Happy Consumer...I would lovge to see more Nokia phones running on ANDROID...Thanks for the inspiration mate !!!
wow really great new N9+meego+ICS dual boot open .Open source increase flexibility phones.
I personally like Meego better than Android. I've owned a few Android phones and love my N9. I just wish that I could overclock the CPU of the N9 just a little bit more, to 1.2 ghz and I think that it would run a lot better. The battery life is great on the device and the OS is really stable, GPS picks up immediately....overall an awesome phone and I don't miss Android in the least...just some of the apps.
AnonD-12210, 09 Feb 2012Meego is lot better. ICS copied the buttonless feature of meego. Please do not contaminate N9.i dont think than put ICS wìll contaminated the n9 phone like say james hunt, android rules, and i not will use symbian even if they put i camera reflex on the phone...
Shadout, 09 Feb 2012I wonder how its gonna work as nokia has no hardware buttonsICS is made with no hardware buttons FYI.
