LG make good phone, but not good with hardware. When exactly LG start to invest in america with software division. No one, I mean no one can get a U.S market share without some sort of investment in U.S. Samsung spend 150 million in sofware division (smart TV, Smart phone, BADA OS, etc..). You can make money without spending money.

as long as Sony release something better than Xperia S - because their limited storage is the main sticking point for me... as well as using last year's specs...
forget all this 'cloud' nonsense - the cost in terms of battery, speed and potential data cost means it's completely useless... that goes for windows phones too - manufacturers don't realise that the worst thing for battery drain (apart from the screen) is data access... imagine trying to access HD photos from the cloud - 8mb pictures taking an age to download . upload whilst sucking your battery... no thanks...
fingers crossed for an Xperia Play 2!!!
Evo 3d display is worse than Optimus 3d in aspects like contrast and black brightness. but for example Evo 3d have better resolution.
contrast and black brightness is important from my viewpoint.
please apologize me if my comment doesn't relate here.

wolfman, 13 Feb 2012then you already have a winner. Sony Ericsson, soon to be Sony as all that. they use Sony cons... moreThe potential is undeniably huge, but until every nation adopts 4G/LTE with faster download speeds per second, all this talk of gut wrenching specs will seem pointless to us when we still have trouble with patchy 3G signals!
wolfman, 13 Feb 2012then you already have a winner. Sony Ericsson, soon to be Sony as all that. they use Sony cons... moreIt's the fact that for full Quad Core optimization to be realised won't be until the Jellybean update with Tegra 4, aka Logan and the support for Mali T658. Right now, I'd say we're in no dire rush or need for the 4 Cores when there are more capable processors in the form of the Exynos 5250 clocked at 2ghz, but i'm not against it either but I share your point and also of those who are for it arguing that 4 cores is more energy/battery efficient than 2 with bigger support for RAM and crispier screen resolution.

well they´re a little behind in chipset. they're lauching a dual email@example.com this year. but I ask all of you: what's the use for a 4core on a phone? 'cause I see no use for it. Is it better to have a chipset that beats all others and little more than that or everything you carry to your holidays (picture and video camera, gaming console, portable or not DVD, etc) all in one gadget???
More details and pics from Pocketnow who claim it's got dual core, gingerbread and.. wait for it.. a 4.3" wvga display. Wow.
It would have been nice if they used the space at the top to fit more screen.
I have been using HTC EVO 3D for sometime and once did a comparison with an Optimus 3D. The EVO was better in all the dimensions...apart from the 3D tech. Now trust me im a HTC fan for sometime now but the Optimus 3D's 3D tech was better than the HTC and that really mattered in a 3D phone. Seems to me that LG are going to take it to the next level. Will be waiting for this and also for a response from HTC's 3D department :)
AnonD-27650, 13 Feb 2012i have to disagree, now that we have dual core and most decent phones already do or will have ... moreHmm....I see where you're going but if you think we shouldn't take tech further I'm gonna have to think differently. On some of your points on the camera and screen tech I would imagine that most if the OEMs are taking the Corning Gorilla route. The Exynos 5250 chip from Samsung is promising to better image stability and quality and much faster and battery efficient technology, more capable than its A9 quad core offering anyway. I, the consumer want to pay for something that is durable yet worthwhile to last me 2years and then get the next best thing. I don't want to be buying what was popular 2 years ago when my hard earned money should be spent on a revolution of technological advances. I understand that some will disagree, but people as a whole want change unless that company is as global as Apple.

AnonD-27650, 13 Feb 2012i have to disagree, now that we have dual core and most decent phones already do or will have ... moreAnd I disagree with your statement. The focus of phones should always be first and foremost, Call Quality, Durability, Battery Life (you got one of them right, Signal Strength. Screen Display is already good enough, Camera's (at least the rear cams) are good enough.
On topic, I'll have to demo this phone. I wasn't too fond of the 3D in the first one.

After that - start focusing on real added value... dedicated camera keys that start up instantly... better resolution screens... definitely improved batteries... optical zoom... better sound quality for music (like Beats Audio)...
Forget about how slim it is and up to a point how many cores it has - get some of these added extras in and you'll have an absolute winner...
I have a dual core htc sensation, and its brilliant. I don't really see the point of a quad core in a phone, what is the need for it really, its geek epeen/eporn only.
