Nokia is known for very good Audio hardware in almost all devices, unlike Sony, where the Walkman device Audio quality wasnt even that great... Good Hardware in terms of CPU, GPU and Ram have nothing to do with the devices audio quality. For example I own a SGS2 and am really happy with it and all people know, even those who bash it, it is a high end device, but its audiochip is worse than the one in the SGS1. What I am trying to say is, High End doesnt mean, high end audio chip... at least not in smartphone terms.

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2012well N8 is better on every audio aspect tham arc sBesides samsung wave the Nokia N8 has the most detailed vibrant mp3 player ive heard ..From Steve Litchfield of Phones Show Chat and Miriam JOIre of Engadget they also agree with me that Nokia N8 audio is vastly superior to any other audio player on a mobile phone market.

Dear gsmarena, when expressing a personal opinion in an article over some products of a company, which you obviously do not like, please have in mind:
Belle is still mainly used in Nokia top cameraphone, because WP cannot cope with picture renderind and etc. Nokia Belle is a very modern and competitive OS, developed by the worlds' largest manufacturer of phones. It is really pathetic to read that the N8 successor will, according to you, be "unfortunately" with Belle. If you want a private site, fine. But if you want discussions, please do not express your unprofessional opinion in this case. This type of comment of yours is childish and deliberately belittles a wonderful OS. Please, hire more educated people, or at least check your articles before release.

The N8 is is one solid piece of aluminium that is not only scratch-resistant but is also built like a tank. Arc S screen's pale colors are no better than the N8's vibrant AMOLED display. Talk about which has better hardware.

Arc S - Screen - Plastic with poor view angle
Arc S - Speaker - At highest volume and very low sound!
Arc S - Camera - Dont even need a comment to compare Superb N8 camera to Arc S toy camm with no optical lens only plastic.

Everything on the xperia arc is superior to the Nokia N8, from APPS to Hardware + Screen. The only thing that tops the arc is the Camera. Nokia N8 takes better pics. That's it. Nothing else tops the arc. I own both, speaking from personal experience.

Knowing Mr Elop an is Nokia Downgrade will mate another statement that makes Nokia Symbian users more upset,as last year he announced that"Symbian Is Dead" an made Nokia Sales Decline after that,but the N8 upgrade might be last Symbian Smartphone made by Nokia an Mr Elop with love announcing this news,as Mr Elop made Nokia choose Windows because he knew is old employees Microsoft would be paying Nokia to boost Windows,but Windows was not the Right choice made by Nokia in Europe,as people have been so used to using Symbian phones an being able to send an recieve things using Bluetooth an use to putting Micro Sd cards in Phones,But with Windows you lose these Functions so Android is more like using a Symbian phone,an Zune is not everybodys liking as well

[deleted post]If there is something that has been lagging behind all these years, it is Sony. Everything that they have come up with is nothing but market failure. I laugh at you saying that Sony has better display, OS, CPU, audio quality than Nokia. First, Nokia has one of the best displays. Their ClearBlack AMOLED can only be rivaled by Samsung's SuperAMOLED Plus. Sony uses a typical LCD display. That mobile Bravia engine moniker is only a gimmick. Second, Nokia has their own OSes, five of them actually - Symbian, Maemo, Meego, S40 and the upcoming Meltemi. Sony doesn't have their own OS. Android is free license and open source that virtually anybody can use. Even Nokia can use Android if they want to. Third, Sony apparently has better CPU because it is only required to run the current version of Android. As a matter fact, Sony is late to jump on the dualcore bandwagon in the Android realm. While other Android OEMs were already on dualcore, Sony was still using single core on their flagship phones. Fourth, Sony can only play second fiddle to Nokia in terms of audio quality. Ever heard of the N91? The best-sounding music phone that was released 6 years ago, and is still the best up to this day. Nokia is master in audio technology. The N8 had the best audio quality than any phone released in 2010, even better than Samsung's Wave and Apple's iPhone 4 flagships at the time. Nokia also makes the best and loudest stereo speakers. And finally, the N8 may not be up there with with the latest phones in terms of processing power, but is definitely on par with the best in terms of electronics.
