It is frightening just how many apps can access all sorts of information from your phone. I have an android phone and some of the third party apps like keyboards can store key strokes and passwords,etc. There is far too much that access these kind of things, truly a hacker's paradise.

Android, please come front and please remove apps such as Facebook app for uploading contacts to their server without user permission.

I know a good way around this problem that doesn't require any sort of update. Stop using social networking sites and start meeting people face to face. Full on privacy control guaranteed.. unless you get drunk and spill the beans that is, in that case ooops :P
