WP7 is still on 2.5% market share. They shouldn't follow Apple's recipe of a closed system.
Who needs a closed system after all... All those choose Apple. There is no reason to choose Microsoft

symbian is still best os for low end phone.android also -- big time in low end phones.just look how belle work on poor hardware of c7 and android work on better hardware of galaxy ace.

pity On some fools! One should praise for the work of microsoft which is trying to make a smartphone affordable to lower end people. Its not restriction but they have told some apps that cant work. Even low end android like galaxy y or some micromax or spice phone doesn support HD Gaming and also videos often get stuck while playing! So is it not a restriction for you guys? Even all the apps in android market place are not supported by these phones so is it not a restriction? Microsoft has just made it clear that what experience does a user will get from low end tango phone.
Coming to symbian, i agree that its efficient and uses low hardware but it lags badly in many areas.
1. My phone browser(E52) fails to load some pages which are big and browser displays memory low n automatically exits. Is it not a lag?
2. Scrolin is not at all smooth in symbian phones(what experience is this?)
3.symbian does everythin but it presents these in a unattractive manner, but windows fills that with its super smooth operations and great user experience.

Seems like MS are serious about having a proper experience on low-end phones. Will be interesting to see what new devices Tango can bring.

AnonD-21665, 16 Feb 2012This the minimum restriction dude. Cheap androids are far below this standard.Of course dud, but Symbian has more features with even 128 MB of RAM and real multitasking! This is what I call an efficient OS made by smart engineers!

What allot of rubbish from Microsoft and Nokia. Its nokias idea they want to sell cheaper phones like the s40 to make more profit for their greedy pockets.
Boycott all greedy corporation businesses, they send our jobs to china and India for cheap labor, they support communist governments for their gain, and now we don't have any jobs, they want us to work for a dollar a day.
Don't follow Nokia apple Microsoft etc....dont be fanatic they just get reacher and you poorer !!

Anonymous, 16 Feb 2012nokia 710 is already a low end device, just priced too high. There is no need for anything worse.Nokia lumia 710 doesn't have the ffc thats the only negative side otherwise its very good. All tango handsets will come with ffc.
