To decide to remove this function on the Note series is a bad move, maybe they'll bring the jack back in future when graphene batteries become viable?
Here's a teardown from JerryRigEverything:
Samsung Note 10+ Teardown - TWO Wireless Chargers?:
I knew already that the jack connector does not take much space, but takes 100mAh off only from the battery?! Why samsung is that stupid to tell it everyone? :)
Anonymous, 27 Aug 2019You can deny reality all you want but your words and actions speak for themselves I dont deny any reality apart yours because its out of anything which makes any sense.
CptPower, 25 Aug 2019Well you are clearly wrong and i understand my logic but dont understand yours. You can deny reality all you want but your words and actions speak for themselves

Those ones who have no problem to hack even Pentagon the whole antivirus means just a little detour in hacking.
CptPower, 15 Aug 2019That was my reply on this.

And regardless my point was right. If SD being way more thorough, safe, and useful is useless and old in your eyes because SD can technically fail too....
Then by your logic since anything can be hacked and viruses can get through... Then anti virus is useless.
Anonymous, 15 Aug 2019What on earth did that even mean?? That was my reply on this.
Oh well Antivirus can be bypassed so why use it at all? What the heck kind of logic is that???
Anything can be hacked if you are good enough and know how.
CptPower, 13 Aug 2019Well its normal accidents ghappens as other fuss and so on. What on earth did that even mean??
CptPower, 12 Aug 2019Man thatts nmaybe true but i saw pleny of exception where SD card were unable to be read and h... moreI don't worry about anything.
I backup anything useful or important that I want to keep to my freebie bundled 512gb microSD card (that I also backup to my 1tb external hard drive once or twice a year in case of loss or theft).
I keep my Note9 in a drop proof (MIL-STD-810G-516.7) case & I save the money instead of paying insurance.
I wouldn't want USB-C headphones/ audio output to aux, because I like to keep the device charged at the same time, which I can if I use the 3.5mm audio port.
Maybe it would be okay if it had 2 USB-C ports, or a balanced 2.5mm audio port, Idk how useful the former would be, & would they take up less room?
It'll be interesting if any excuses are used when these graphene batteries land.
BT headphones like the on ear Sony WH-1000XM3 or the in ear Sony WF-1000XM3 are now good enough now, no argument there, but if you have a favourite pair of 3.5mm cans, or need/ want to link to any amplifier via aux (whilst charging), then that option shouldn't be made obsolete.
Dedicated portable music players like the Cowon Plenue D2 or the Astell & Kern A&norma SR15 still use the 3.5mm audio port, if they removed it, it would be a bad move.
When this Note9 finally becomes a backup to a new device, I'll use it a music player hooked up to my HiFi amp via 3.5mm jack to L&R RCA's, yeah it might not be as great as these PMP'S, but for whatever exists in the smartphone world, I'm sure it'll still be amongst the best.
P.s. Gsmarena, I'm hoping to see the Samsung Galaxy Note9 long term review, I don't mind when (especially as it maybe be receiving further feature/ improvements alongside those monthly OTA updates).
It would also be useful to those whose want to compare it against the new Note10(+).
Lol, what a shitty explanation 100mah is nothing on those big batteries, who cares about some vibrant heptic feedbacks? The real reason was obviously to sell shit loads of crappy wireless earbuds, simple as that

AverageUser, 09 Aug 2019USB - C headphones work just as good as 3.5mm jack ones do and it's nice of Samsung to include... moreThere was a more logical progression with floppy. With headphone jack it's a stupid marketing trick being defended and supported by fools. There has been zero added benefit to the user for it. Just negatives for the people that use it. And the situations where others that don't rely on it could find themselves needing it.
Even cd players in cars is bs. Again. No benefit to the removal.
Literally the same excuses as Apple. They just want to sell their wireless buds.
Samsung samsung Samsung, you knew this day would come and whatever accusation you did against apple and other companies on removing headphone jacks, well, remember it all applies to you now. Hypocrisy at its best
