I have been NOKIA user but now I am using Android and I can for sure can tell you that Nokia can't beat Android OS devices with Windows Phone.
Nokia was changing just the design of the device not the software, this is why other companys like Samsung,HTC, Sony, Mototrola are far away.
Fongy, 22 Feb 2012This has to be a Windows phone - right?
If so, specs are tightly controlled, so no dual-cor... moreWindows Phone OS does not support multicores either at this time and wont arrive till Apollo. I cant help but think that it will be easier for Nokia to modify their native OS than some OS that they have no control of development over.
So I think that Symbian Carla even if not fully developed will be running the New Camera-phone Beast..
I had the N8 over a year an wanted a new phone, but with no other Symbian phone out there to match the N8 an with Nokia choosing Windows-which i do not like because its to Restricted for me,i got the Samsung Galaxy S2,which my First Android phone, which is a really amazing phone with super screen, but if Nokia can release a 4 inch Smartphone with a 12 or 16 mega-pixel camera i might now comeback to Nokia again,so now can"t wait till next Monday to see what Nokias going to Release for 2012,an i hope this time Mr Martinez of mobile-review.com does not make Nokia delay the Release of this phone as he made Nokia delay the release of the N8 over 8 months
I see some comments about how this is an android killer. I assure you there is no android killer out there...
That said there are some comments about how symbian is a no good, useless OS. Believe me belle is a good os. Every OS has something good about it. I still use Nokia C7, and one of the reasons is there is no OS out there with true multitasking (except Meego). There is something painstaking about having to go to menu or homescreen just to revive the app running in background and even more so as I keep my browser always open while running and closing other apps.
I have used two different SGS2's (neither mine) apart from the initial dramatics of using a 4.3 inch screen and dualcore phone I quickly found it disappointing after all the hype about being the greatest smartphone till date.
I have never used an iPhone, so I can't comment on that.
Despite many saying camera's doesn't matter, a very good cameraphone has more to boast about than a dualcore phone.
I just can't help but think that outsourcing symbian development to Accenture a lot sooner would have benefited the good OS...
In the end, every user has their own favorites. I have a friend who is adamant about buying a windows phone for its really good ui, user experience and smoothness, despite me pointing out at every turn about its too many restrictions (I am something of an unofficial adviser about phones and laptops among my group of friends).
Oh...and I am eagerly awaiting for the MWC, this beast and news about Carla...
yoyocell, 22 Feb 2012android fan boys are hate nokia phones because they are knew nokia is the best than other..@a... moreexactly! I'm sure that most of the people in here have used a symbian or nokia phone at some point and yes they've dropped the ball recently but lets not forget that ios and android both took hints from symbian when it was(add emphasis) the reigning os.
android fan boys are hate nokia phones because they are knew nokia is the best than other..@android fans - have you remember the first symbian phone launch? I think yes, why youre not thingking about that..before youre an android user..in the past youre also an user of nokia and symbian..and then..if you remember, how much years symbian got first ranking os in the past? Symbian have the best record than other os..its interesting os..and now..see..youre an android user..and youre hated nokia like you hated your enemy..they are not your enemy..they are just your old os friend..so..just comment with a polite comment ok..please dont post any dirty word here..its not a spam thread.
Nokia PureView N808 camera Vs. Cannon EOS 1D Mark VI 16.1 MP :D yesssssssssssssssssss OMG I LOVE you Nokiaa with Windows Phone 7 :DDDD
The digital zoom on this is the best you will ever see, this is where the marketing will run, also its 16mp+. My source is from one of the Nokia Engineers who designed it. :)
nopes, 22 Feb 2012This is not WinMo ..its supposed to be symbian which introduced customization to the mobile wo... moreREALLY?!?!
I thought Symbian was only going to be used for low-end phones, this looks rather flagship-y...
Only time will tell!!
As for the 'battle of the OSs' - I agree Android is the new Symbian, it's taken a lot from it and developed it further, and that's unfortunately what killed Nokia, it's lack of advancement with its OS... it was waaaay too slow to adapt, and when it did (N8 I'm looking at you) - you had a fabulous looking phone, really distinctive, housing a crippled and slow OS... such a waste!
But, give them a couple of years and I think Winmo and Nokia will take 1/3 of the market (well, maybe 1/4ish)
no matter phone u have samsung htc lg...its the same PROBLEM THE BATTERY...that's why i hate android....LOL
